Picked it up in Sainsburys this morning - £12.99 with slipcase.
Just a heads up in case anyone else will be checking the supermarkets!

I don't think a sequel would fit for a movie like this.

Any thoughts on the encoding?

I watched this last night (picked up the awesome steelbook) and couldn't find anything glaring myself (no banding or macroblocking I could see) on my 46'' Sony LED. I'm not quite sure whether the black levels are correct or not as unfortunately my TV tends to make them look not as dark due to the edge lighting.

I can understand the film being compared to Taxi Driver, Drive and especially King of Comedy but personally, I don't think the film is in the same league as those classics. Still a good film though - I'm often pretty choosy about which bds to keep and Nightcrawler has earnt a place on the shelves. btw The Frozen blu-ray belongs to my wife.

That's probably the main problem with the movie for me. It's not that
[Show spoiler]he didn't get caught
that bothers me but the way the movie sort of condones his actions. I only watched once but I felt it presented the main character as someone to admire, for his intelligence and ruthlessness, rather than to pity, for being completely psychopathic. I found myself liking him a little bit more than I think I should have, and this wasn't helped by the slight absurdly comic tone to the whole thing.Maybe that was the point, though; that psychos are extremely charming and intelligent to the point no-one knows they actually are psychos.

It's simply you are use to having the the bad guys getting caught. It worked perfectly he got away from it all, it has a throwback to the cinema of the 70s where everything is a shade of grey. It's also more realistic he would have got away with it all.

Could someone please post a disc report from the UK release?
Most appreciated since they totally botched the DE transfer and the regular UK artwork is awesome.
