It's a giant world, though the scenery was very similar no matter where you went, so it didn't feel like a new location other than the big differences between sand, snow, jungle and towns, cities. Hopefully there are more unique sights for each area, with waterfalls too. The Witcher 3's scenery has a good amount of terrain variation for the most part.

I read they have a lot more control over the terrain in Just Cause 3, allowing for caves, steep cliff drops, etc.

The wing suit looks cool. The multi grapple, hopefully that's not too complicated. I never really got it to latch onto multiple objects too often in JC2; like latching it to the freon tank, firing at the tank but then not blasting off into the sky like the videos showed.

The video definitely reminds me of Just Cause 2 a lot. Almost like a JC 2.5 instead of JC3? Maybe because the scenery is so similar along with the game play. Even so, fun to play.

The wing suit looks floaty as if under very light gravity, but that can be a good thing for longer air time.

Game looks like it's fun for a few laughs. I didn't play the previous ones even though I had one freebie from PS+

I believe he's playing with God Mode and Unlimited Ammo enabled (as mentioned, not a finished version of the game).

For some odd reason, it reminds me of FarCry 3. Being on an island and having the combat zones (outposts?) and pretty much just fu##ing everything up.

Looks a lot of fun! I've ordered the Collector's Edition. Funny thing is that I never played Just Cause 1 or 2... we shall see.

The new stringing of stuff looks comical. Like when the car gets hooked up against the wall or the guy flung onto the wall.

The developers say that you're best off in this game by staying in the air.

I've never played the previous version but the game looks like a mix between Uncharted and Far Cry.

If it's anything like #2, it's nothing like a recent popular game out now, despite the grapple and suit. Maybe a little like Far Cry. JC2 was a pretty average game, maybe even below average, that was just fun to play.

I'd know of a whole community of people that would disagree with you! Easily one of the prettiest games on PS3 also - it still looks stunning.

JC2 is in my top ten of best games ever made. Can't wait for the sequel. Who needs GTA?

I disagree with me in a sense. The game was an absolute blast. You have to admit, though, considering those factors that are used to descriptively evaluate games, it's got some weaknesses. Now, I don't pay much heed to reviews, but it reviewed middlingly, as well.

As a story, it was pretty mediocre. It was also very short, as a story. It was devoid of interesting characters. Voices of the faction leaders were laughable. I think Panau is an Australasian or Polynesian island, and they had these faux-Caribbean accents. Repetitiveness? In these days where we criticize games for excessive meaningless collectibles, it is way beyond the point of excess. I'm sure most players maxed out everything well before completing the story, but finished the story well before achieving 50% completion of the activities that earn Chaos, the in-game currency used for upgrades. And there was the missing tour bus the precluded the vehicle collecting trophy, unless you had the bonus vehicles.

What redeemed the game was the large (largest on console at the time?) map, the fun way to traverse that landscape, and the fun gameplay. I admit, a game does not need to have much more than that to make it one of the most enjoyable games ever. After my time on Panau, I looked at water towers and transformers in the real world in a very sinister way.

It definitely has similarities to the Batman Arkham Knight concept of grappling, then catapulting into the air, then gliding (with a parachute instead of a wing suit), then grappling to stay aloft in Just Cause 2. I'll say Just Cause was one of the first in really bringing the concept to a 3D world. Though in 2D games, Capcom's Bionic Commando on the NES was 1st overall.

Graphics look good, only thing I'm hoping for in JC3 is that they remove the blurring effect when zooming into the distance, that destroys the clarity of binoculars or an over the shoulder weapon view.
