Amazon was price-matching it , but I just noticed they took it out of search. Those of you with Prime get free shipping at $3.97.
There seems to be a weird collusion with Amazon and Best Buy on what looks like Korean blu-ray releases for $3.97. Best Buy also has the Police Story Trilogy Blu-Ray, Suspiria, Cube, Brotherhood of the Wolf, and Azur and Asmar for the same price. I'm guessing they're all the Korean releases, since Amazon actually has a photo of one. |

BTW, for those interested in the new German releases by that Cargo Records company, they look to have carried over the video transfers from the German EMI releases. I like these better than the Asian upscaled transfers, but they're not great with regards to noise/detail.

Apart from that 2K restored version of the first film done almost ten years ago but never released on disc, there's a new 4K restoration being done for the upcoming re-release of the first film in mainland China. They original announce to re-release it last month but nothing came so I assume the restoration is not finished yet. Hope it's a legit one done from the fresh scan rather than some ridiculous AI upscale.

Because all Golden Princess/Cinema City titles have been in rights limbo outside of Asia up until January 2025 when Shout Factory acquired worldwide distribution rights (except for specific Asian territories) from Kowloon Development.
The German bootleggers now try to pull their necks out of the noose by claiming they had an exclusive licence for German speaking territories up until the end of 2024, but such a licence never existed, because no one other than Kowloon Development had any rights for those movies, and they did not do any licensing for them at all until the sale to Shout. |

Yes, the Cargo releases are bootlegs. It looks like fans at least tried to do interesting things with some of them, like assemble the "Mandarin cut" of ABT3 from the upscaled Blu and deleted scenes on the Blu or DVD, along with grabbing the English soundtrack from one of the French tapes. Still, they're bootlegs.
