Information on the change of Design A:

When we revealed <Rust and Bone>’s original slip cover design with a “photo-wall” concept, it was clearly unpopular.

The “photo-wall” image that we used for [Design A] appears briefly in the movie. It’s a wall of photographs from Stéphanie(Marion Cotillard)’s past and we thought it would be a good idea to show them properly in high-resolution.

But at the same time, we knew how it didn’t directly represent the feature film itself.


After a week of brainstorming with our design partner at Propaganda, we’ve decided to give [Design A] a new look.

The “photo-wall” image will be used for the booklet instead.

<Rust and Bone> will be released in two designs as shown below.

Our upcoming release 'Rust and Bone' includes a set of high-quality pictures of Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenaerts –– carefully packaged inside a white envelope.

We’re individually sealing the envelope with beeswax, heating it in the spoon using candles.

Every seal will look different from one another. This is one of our latest efforts to humanize our products and we hope you like it.

Our non-Steelbook releases <Blue is the Warmest Colour> and <The Master> both sold out within 24 hours. Many customers have asked to increase the number of copies from our usual 1000.

After careful consideration, we’ve decided to increase the number of copies of <Rust and Bone> by 50%.

**Please note that we don’t have any plans to release <Rust and Bone> as a Steelbook.

PA008 <Rust and Bone> will be released in two versions. The difference is the Slipbox and the Booklet design.

It's a great film, not a lot of rewatchability for me, but still very good and outstanding performances.

I picked up the US amaray super cheap used last year and ended up selling it after watching it because I just didn't think I would revisit it any time soon. Regardless of that, I'll still be getting this.

Just read the two slipcover info, not a fan of that for amaray releases whatsoever.

I see a terrible trend starting if these sell well (which I highly doubt honestly).

Agreed, this just went from a very simple decision to a hard one. The blue original is fantastic but the new case is awesome, emphasizing the BEAUTIFUL Marion Cotillard. She always takes my breath away, and as pointed out the role reversal with the characters is great. Gonna sit here for a bit and argue with myself

I really like the blue original, but I'm liking the new one more and more. I'll be going for that one. I think Marion Cotillard is one of the most beautiful women on the planet, so her being front and center on the new slip makes this a pretty easy decision for me.

Damn, I swear I am always the last one to receive my Korean blu rays! I'm in Iowa yet my tracking has said processed through sort facility in Chicago since the 13th!

I feel you. I got the full slip ISTD in the mail today. Purchased new on eBay. I had the plastic ripped off it within 2 minutes of being home. I can't help it. I'm a little kid during Christmas. I have to look, see, FEEL everything. Thinking about matting & framing the 4 cards from this set.

Just experienced my first "opening" of a PA with The Master keep case. Gorgeous!! I'm never keeping a Blu-ray sealed ever again. It's no fun and I want to fully enjoy these bad boys!
