Wow, that's atrocious! Reminds me of the subtitles on the Hong Kong VHS tapes I used to watch back in the day.

I have the Mondo Macabro edition but yet to watch it, I assume it's just a repackaged version of the Subkultur release with the same bad subs?

There is no "Mondo Macabro edition." Mondo just distributes Subkultur releases in the US. Same as Diabolik.

Yes, I was meaning the edition that's exclusively distributed by MM, or has been up to this point. I wasn't sure if Subkultur had made a few changes to the disc for a US pressing, but it seemed a long shot.

Heh, those subs are so badly translated you can tell the original German! "Going on my nerves" clearly comes straight from "geht mir auf die Nerven" and in other places the verb placement follows German practice.

Advice to the Subkultur people: Get someone who actually knows English to translate, not just your cousin's girlfriend's younger sister or Google Translate.

Raimund Harmstorf's voice isn't his actual voice.
Klaus Kindler (a german voice actor) dubbed him for this movie (german version).
Kindler was the main voice actor of Clint Eastwood in Germany (the first two Dollar films, Dirty Harry 2-5, and all his later films).
