Anybody check the new release by Sandpiper Pictures? Wondering if it's the same scan used by Kino.

Looks like basically an identical scan. With the audio I can't recall if the Kino/Umbrella releases also had a DTS HD-MA 2.0 track. If so this release isn't for anyone who already owns it on blu-ray.

Yeah, this looks to me like a Mill Creek-type re-release on another sub-label. This time with less extras. Absolutely no reason to buy if you already have the Kino it would seem.

Hopefully someone can still grab the 4K rights and give the film (and the sequel) a proper restoration.

Both deserve it. The more I watch People the more I really like it. It still makes me
[Show spoiler]sad about Tyler.
Patrick Wayne does a better job acting in this than Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger.

He’s a much better fit for his character in this film. As Sinbad, he’s horribly miscast, and has no idea how to convincingly deliver the dialogue he was given. I think John Phillip Law nails it in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, easily the best Sinbad movie overall, though I do love all three for different reasons.

We really need a complete extras-loaded box set of:

The Land That Time Forgot
The People That Time Forgot
At the Earth’s Core
Warlords of Atlantis

Yeah...very poor casting. I can't get the "You were looking at more than her eyes" line out of my head As for which is the best Sinbad movie it probably is The 7th Voyage but I watch The Golden Voyage the most.

For some reason Warlords Of Atlantis is still to debut on Blu-ray anywhere in the world, maybe it's owned by a different company.

Anyone know if there's a chance Land, People, and Core will have a better video presentation than the three existing bds ? No chance I'm dropping the cash for this set to get the one movie...even though it's limited with very cool packaging. I'm thinking not, unfortunately.
