These Asian companies offering 3 versions should offer the boxsets with only 1 steelbook somehow. I'm just having a hard time getting behind this whole "3 copies of the same steelbook for every blockbuster movie" thing.

For God Sakes 1 premium copy of every movie is already expensive enough.

Completely agree. These companies are oversaturating the market with too many premium packages for movies that do not deserve them.

I mean the steelbooks and packages are cool, and there's lots of options, but from a collectibility standpoint values on these won't hold if everything out there comes in this kind of package.

I agree that the steelbook market is oversaturated but that only applies to regular retailer steelbooks, from places like Zavvi in the UK and Best Buy in the US. The premium steelbook market is just getting started. I mean, Blufans has been around for a few years but, more recently, labels like FilmArena and HDzeta have been ramping up production. Tripacks are rarer among the premium labels but they are and will continue to make them as long as people are buying them. For some collectors, the film may actually be secondary to the packaging (see Transformers 4). "Everything" isn't coming out in premium packaging - Jurassic World hasn't been announced from anyone except Novamedia and they only have a simple lenti slip. I really wished more older movies would get consideration. Bicentennial Man and Reign of Fire would make awesome premium steels, for instance

Omg, they're using the same art as the face plate release in the US?! No thanks.

Everything about the lenti fullslip is better down to the post cards, booklet, and numbered card.

That full slip looks awful. I'll stick with the lenti. The booklet just confirms my choice (I'm a sucker for a good booklet).

Wow! Lenti package looks bonkers good.

Personally I never have (and still don't) give a flyin leap about which previous releases have used the same art.

If a new best option comes out with art already used, but it still trumps the other version... then guess what... there's still a new best option!! Just because one release from a hundred years ago already used a certain image doesn't mean it can't be used again in a totally new package like this. The movie didn't change. It's still the original movie so artwork will be limited forever. It's not like there a lot of new content.

Anyway... I seriously might go for this now.

These slips DESTROY Film Arena's horribly horrible cartoon looking slip with no title.

All 3 editions look amazing to me. Loved that cover design on the standard case releases, so I'm more than fine with it being re-used for the steel. I actually like the red slip the most, but the extras with the lenti push it over the edge. I hope to see T2 and T3 to follow.

Did you guys see the availability of this though? Scares the crap out of me:

2000 copies total
500 Tri-box
800 Lenti
700 Full Slip
500 1/4 Slip

You're gonna have to get the full set if you want the 1/4 slip, and there's only a few copies of the others too. I don't even know where to order from, but it may well be a nightmare to get what you want.

I want that lenticular for sure. How do you go about ordering this? Is it only group buys on HDN?

They only accept credit cards

3 steelbooks and none feature the original theatrical poster art? Lame. I collect premium steels like there's no tomorrow but I'll have to think long and hard before I decide on this. The Squatting Arnold and lazy Endoskeleton Arm thing (from T2, by the way) were slapped on cheap US retail cash-in reissues recently so this is just a poor decision on HDzeta's part IMO.
