just counted all the posts and copies people wanted in the group buy and i made the group buy final list

cant believe he was allocated 280 copies. there is gonna be alot of angry people who have film arena numbers that arent going to get one.

there is no pre order. there is a group buy on HDN was who allocated 280 copies. that means 221 copies are going to be avaible and most likely every film arena member with a number will grab one leaving 0 for pre order time.

I don't have a very high opinion of HDN right now. More than half the print run? You've got to be kidding me.

I'm getting to the point where if I can't get it through the retailer's website directly, I don't want it. I'm tired of botched preorders and resellers.

I see it as a necessary evil. I don't have a collector's number, and I have a feeling that most FAC releases are going to sell out before the general pre-order goes live. Plus, the shipping should be cheaper via GB than from the site themselves.

I ordered 2 of Whiplash myself. This was my favorite movie of 2014. I'm going to open one and explore all the goodies inside, and keep one sealed up and displayed on a stand. And you bet I'm going to order whatever The Blu Collection designs up as well.

But yeah, I agree in a broad sense that having THAT many copies allocated for one specific forum to buy is a bit insane. Could you imagine if Plain Archive gave 350 copies out of a 700 international run to HDN or Blu-ray.com forums?! People would probably violently protest!
