Germany Koch Media to release Argento's Opera

Just read about this on a facebook Dario Argento group. It will be interesting to see how this release compares to the Japanese edition.

Unless the audio/picture quality is stellar, I think I'm going to wait for an English friendly release. I really wish Arrow would get their hands on this. Does anyone know who has the US or UK rights?

Might be Code Red in US, https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=264663

Koch have made some really good BDs in the past and some "ok" so will be interesting to see what they can do.

Koch did a slam dunk on their Inferno and Four Flies discs so I'm looking forward to it.

I'll also buy Bill's disc.

Their Inferno release is easily my favorite Argento experience on blu-ray! Totally agree. Very pleased to see Koch taking this on.

With the exception of two shots, I prefer the look of the La Chat Qui Fume version. I have no idea which of the two is more accurate though. I'll more than likely be getting the Code Red release and will wait to see what that one looks like.

Le Chat Qui Fume are using the Code Red master.

I have the Koch Media 3-disc mediabook version. I'm a little confused about something. Could someone help me out???

There's a version listed as an extra that I can't find on any of the discs. It's the 103-min (non-HD) "unmaskierte fassung." I've had several years of German classes, both in HS and college, but all I really still know are insults and the dirty talk I've learned from my Hartbox collection.
Wouldn't that mean "unmatted" version? I can't an unmatted version on any of the three discs.

The Koch release only features the 2,35:1 aspect ratio. The 1,78:1 open matte version is only included in the release by 84 Entertainment.

It does say that on the back though. I went and looked for it and couldn't find it either.

For what I know, it'll be included for the upcoming Deluxe Edition from Scorpion Release also. I always prefer open-matte version if available.
