Correct. When first opened, the 2D Bu-ray is on top of the Blu-ray 3D disc on the right side of the case. DVD is on the left side under the UV Digital copy paper insert.

Really enjoyed this one! It's a decent telling of an old story. The 3D is super nice and the impact of the more colorful Neverland when revealed, is majiiick!!!!

ON EDIT
I do have one big gripe: couldn't stand the actor who played Hook and shouted his way through the film. Just awful.

Bought Pan yesterday and watched it last night. I thought it was a fun and thrilling ride. I was not ever bored with this movie and I thought the 3D was outstanding. Also one of my favorites in 2015. It is really sad that the critics were so harsh with their reviews cause I wonder how many did not see this wonderful film because of the awful reviews. I hope the DVD, Blu ray, Blu ray 3D sells well so the producers can make up for some of their loses.
Also bought Terminator Genisys. Will watch that tonight.

You are correct. You got cheated out of the BR with a group of interesting extras.
I am with the "Pan+" folks on this one. I blind-bought it on sale and was very, VERY surprised at how good it actually was.

Man, I had no idea that Joe Wright directed this movie.
Totally slipped under my radar.
Gotta check it out now.
Love all of his work. (and 3D too!)

Question: Does he do any long, cool extended cuts in this one like he did in Atonement?

That 7 or 8 minute uncut scene by the ocean in Atonement is one of the great achievements in modern filmmaking.

Wow what a spectacular 3D experience this is. In fact it's so good i may have to place it as my favourite 3D movie from 2015. The conversion is absolutely stunning and director Joe Wright has clearly shot with 3D in mind from the offset. The depth is strong throughout, and the layers are amazing. There are loads of pop outs with every single action sequence showcasing a handful of out of the screen FX.

The movie is very CG heavy and i guess this has really allowed the converison team to push the 3D using presumably native 3d CG elements.

Just look at the scenes on Blackbeard's ship in the mines, the background and ground is way back in the distance compared to the foreground elements. Particles shoot through the frame from out of the screen to way, way back when the fairies are on screen and the flying scenes are terrific, whether it be flying ships or Peter Pan himself flying.

I already loved the movie, being a big sucker for Peter Pan in general but the 3D really pushes it over the edge to being one of the best visual 3D experiences of 2015. If anyone was on the fence about this movie i HIGHLY recommend it. Not only does it have a terrific sense of fun and adventure with some spirited performances (Jackman and Hedlund are great) but the visual FX and 3D make it a real ride from start to finish.

It also becomes very difficult to distinguish between the wrapped up characters, at night, in a snow storm. With Into Thin Air you always know where everybody is and what's going on with them and it gives you the relevant context of all the problems encountered, some down sheer bad luck, others down to human incompetence.
This discussion would be better placed in the Everest thread but I agree that the first time I watched it (in 2D) I kinda lost track of who was who when it all went down. I didn't have that problem the second time around in 3D (it all seemed much easier to follow in 3D).

Since this is the Pan thread, let me just say once again how impressed I was with Pan's outstanding 3D.

Yup, posted this on the wrong thread. Using my iPhone. Will put this right now.

2D or 3D, when compared to Into Thin Air this still only gets across a very limited version of the drama which unfolded. The 3Dmay have enhanced your spatial understanding, but it doesn't give you the context need to understand a lot of the things that happened, which simply isn't in this film.

However the director does deliver a superb audio commentary that adds a lot more understanding to the movie and the story and how it all unfolded.

Default Pan 3D

Fortunately I was able to rent this; 20 bucks is my limit for a movie and I have to really like it at that price. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie with one small exception...the Smells Like Teen Spirit Chant. What the h3ll was that? The 3D was very good and the story was alright.

Price on this just will not budge, they sure don't want to sell this one do they? Even the lousy 2D-only Blu-Ray and the standard DVD are priced pretty high.

WB is a little crazy with their pricing, everything is sky high and then on Black Friday they dump all their unsold stock.

People were getting under $10 deals on Mad Max 3D, Jupiter Ascending 3D, San Andreas 3D this past BR.

It was really random though, because some 3D copies were mixed in with the 2D stuff.

I'm not one to wait that long though and I *wanted* good slips, so I snagged Pan 3D and Heart of the Sea 3D as soon as I could.

Don't know if this applies to Pan as hardly any store even carries it, but Warner's Point Break and In the Heart of the Sea both have LIMITED lenticular slipcovers- at Target I've seen some that had lenticular covers and others that were plain, and that was after they'd only been out a few weeks.
