I certainly hope that is not the case.

As much as I love the movie and am looking forward to all the extras, I'm not buying it (or any other movie) if it is missing any features. It is a very simple matter to the isolated movie score in the iTunes Extras package for all the other iTunes Stores around the world.

I'm annoyed as it is that US customers didn't get the Abrams commentary added to TFA, meaning no-one will.

Hamill was on Irish TV on Friday singing the praises of the music only feature on the home release. I don't hold the man to account for that - not his fault if we get shafted again.

Tell there is a social media campaign to get this outside the US?

Default Star Wars The Digital Collection

Every bit of marketing I see for the score-only version does say it is MA-exclusive "for a limited time".

Doesn't say for how long or what happens afterwards, though. Are they putting it on other services? Or taking it offline forever (whaaaaaaaaa)?

By the way, why the heck is this not included on the discs themselves? Isolated scores literally scream "lossless audio", yet studios rarely bother.

Is it not built in to the disc either?

That and this limited time rubbish is so stupid.

There are people who normally wouldn't but the movie who want it just for a Williams' isolated score.

They went to the effort of making it the damn thing like.

Where did you hear that all iTunes stores are getting the music only version?

The iTunes Extra preview in the Irish Store still shows a "Play with Commentary" on the main menu and not the "Movie Selection" that shows in the US store previewing worried again.

According to some chatter going on in the main Last Jedi thread, looks like the isolated score is also on the disc version, hidden behind a code.

That probably explains why the limited-time "exclusive" Movies Anywhere had on it appears to be ending.

Where? There are so many threads that there's no way to know which "main" one you're talking about.

Sorry, I meant the one on the NA Blu-ray subforum. No one there has been able to confirm it yet and they seem to be going off a recent Mark Hamill interview.

I thought someone already posted a scan of the disc and there was no extra audio track...

It is a hidden feature.

Rian Johnson already confirmed that all digital and blu-ray owners would be able to access the music only feature - so it there somewhere.

Australia and New Zealand got the Score only version.

The Irish and UK stores are still just showing a commentary option - can anyone tell me if the music only version appears after buying the movie?

Bought it from the UK store, I can see no option anywhere. Starting the movie with either the regular soundtrack or the commentary and then trying to change audio options doesn't reveal it either.

Okay, thanks for the confirmation.

Where you see "play with commentary" on the main menu, the other countries named above have a "movie selection" option instead. This leads to another menu with the regular, music and commentary versions of the film.

I'm disappointed but still hopeful - the US didn't get the option straightaway and maybe Lucasfilm /Disney are still waiting on the legal clearance. So I'm going to hold off on buying it for now. I said previously I wouldn't but it at all if we were denied the isolated score but I was clearly forgetting my US account at the time. :P

I'd rather have all my movies in the one account but I'm just being nuts in claiming I'd never buy a Star Wars movies.

There are a few other films I really want that only have extra in the US store. The easy switching between accounts means separate libraries isn't that big a deal.

Collection is $79.99 on iTunes now (presumably this whole week, as is typical of most movies on sale for Tuesday)

It on sale on the Irish Store last week for €60 but has gone back up to the regular price €75 now.

That is strange because I had assumed it was a promotion to coincide with the young Han Solo movie.
