Season 2 blu-ray date is August 30 (US). It would be nice to have a steelbook announcement from Zavvi before then. Looks like Season 2 is 3 discs, and a higher price tag (US$36.99).

I would hold off from buying it straight away if they are planning a release schedule like the first!

Yes, that is true, I mistakenly made the conversion in my head but my mind falsely used EUROs making me think it wasn't that much. I liked the steelbook though and I think that overrode the price. At least I am paying less than what the US set cost me.

I hope they will release a steelbook for the 2nd season as well.

Is there still no news if there will be a steelie for season 2?

S1 has long been sold out.

It took a while for Season 1 to sell out, and it had to be reduced more than once. Season 2 is 3 discs instead of 2, so it'll have to be more expensive, and even more so if they do a smaller print run. And maybe Disney is too busy responding to Blufans' emails about the Ep 7/Rogue One steelbooks.

But Rebels Season 2 is at the top of my wish list, and I hope they'll get to it eventually. It hurts to see steelbooks for movies like Super Mario Brothers, and yet there's still no announcement about Rebels 2.

Never got S1 because I don't really like the show, but it's one of the few bits of canon that isn't the film series itself so I'll probably pick it up. Anyone know where to get one since Zavvi is out of stock?

My friend just bought this, and it's a much better looking release than expected with the spot gloss on the weapons. Given the SteelBooks seem to be dead, I'm designing custom designs for S2 and 3. I'll try and post pics when they're complete.

I'm sad that Zavvi wasn't able, for whatever reason, to keep the steelbooks going for Rebels. I love the series, love the first steelbook, and would gladly pre-order the rest of the series if they were available.

If Blufans is working with Disney to release all the movies in premium format, then maybe there's a (very small) chance we could see nice releases for Rebels eventually. But that would be probably a loooong time from now, and far, far away...

Seeing that this thread just got bumped...

I wrote this a year and a couple months ago, and later that winter got sick and ended up binge watching the whole series while recovering. I ended up loving the show, and really hope they end up coming out with future releases for the other seasons.
