Harry is a "HUGE" movie insider (pun intended). He has been on the scene for about 15 years and has had a few cameos in movies and quite frequently gets invited to premieres and to the studios. If anybody watches G4, Moriaty from Harry's site (Drew McWeeney, yes that is his real name) is often seen reviewing movies on AOTS. If any body has watched JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK, they poke fun at Harry with the "Movie Poopchute.com" web site. Kevin Smith is in tight with Harry.

The biggest joke on the net and his own site that Harry is major shill to the highest bidder. Harry has been known to give great reviews after visiting the studio or the set of said movie. His forums (Talkbacks) also have the biggest bunch haters on the net. There seems to be no moderation on the forum at all.

The upside to aintitcool.com is that Harry has been very accurate in digging up inside information for upcoming movies but you have to sift through alot of rumors. He has gotten himself a fairly large network of spies in the studios over the years that report to the site. The biggest scoops I remember that he scored was the casting to LOTR and Indiana Jone 4. Harry has also scored scripts from upcoming movies and dropped spoilers from the scripts. If I am correct, it was his site that started the whole "SPOILER ALERT" tag in postings.

If anybody is really big into movies, you should bookmark his page. Just remember to take some of the posts there with a grain of salt and avoid the forums.

I think he put somewhere in one of his blog/news posts that he finally bit the bullet and bought a BD player and is really enjoying it. The thing is folks, this can't hurt, because a lot of people go to that site, and all it does is all spread the word. The site is actually very good for up and coming movie news, and pro-am movie reviews, most are dead on.

AICN is the most notorious scoop site on the net, and Harry has been a hard HD DVD shill for most of this year. I'm glad he's changing his tune, although his glory days -- back when he had cameos in cultish movies and was widely quoted across the internet -- seem to be over.
