Watched on Monday:
![]() ![]() Both were blind-buys. It took a while for MacGruber's charm to sink in on me - it is pretty funny. T&D is ingenious though. Tuesday: ![]() It's alright. Today: ![]() I'm still in a state of shock that this movie actually arrived after two years or so stuck in preorder limbo. The movie's not as terrible as I thought it'd be - glad to finally have it. No logical chaining yet. Heck, I don't even know what my categories should be, and I still haven't done any Romance movies. |

So I just spent like two whole hours looking at the theatrical and blu February release schedules for stuff I know I am going to watch, checking my existing want-to-watch backlog, etc, to plan out my list for the month.
So far there are only about 40, but I would be shocked if I get to 50 anyway. ![]() I'm positive the list will change and things will be dropped, added, or rearranged, but for now, here's the plan: Quote:

Damn, these were blatantly obvious. I'm a bit embarrassed for asking now. I'm terrible at this whole "Six Degrees of Separation" thing. |

![]() ![]() helpful hint: an easy way to adjust the large poster links from this site is simply to change the word "large" to "medium" in the url. for example, change: hxxp://images4.static-bluray.com/products/20/4445_1_large.jpg to hxxp://images4.static-bluray.com/products/20/4445_1_medium.jpg |

I stumbled across a review on Letterboxd (if you're not yet signed up on that site, do it now and let me know your username!) that mentioned it was part of
"Scavenger Hunt #4 Challenge - Item #28: A film featuring a Schizophrenic character" I followed a link and found this list: [Show spoiler] I was wondering if in a future month we might want to try something similar with individual film requirements (not necessarily with the same specific ones), instead of whole-list or groups-of-five like we've been doing. It could be a fun challenge. Thoughts? Last edited by cinemaphile; 02-04-2016 at 06:25 PM. |

That's a great idea in my opinion. It doesn't restrict others into watching a specific genre they might not necessarily care for, and a lot of those "hints" could apply to a vast number of films across different genres. Some of those would have to be changed (Steampunk, Cyberpunk, Parkour, etc.) to accommodate others and appeal to the majority of us here, but other than that, it's something I would like to do!
Only thing is, first time viewings would be sort of difficult since some of those "plot points" would be unknown while you're watching the movie unless you read the synopsis on IMDB or know the gist of the plot beforehand. Still, not a deal breaker in the slightest. March or April would be a good month for that, as they're longer than February. |

Yeah we would make up our own list, so it's still a challenge, but not too restrictive. Like I wouldn't include steampunk, parkour, etc. But more stuff like "a film featuring a genius", which leaves it open for people to choose anything from comedies to dramas, action, animated, whatever.
