In regards to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens..." does anyone know "why" it didn't get a simultaneous 4K release with the BR & DVD versions? I found that VERY surprising - especially since George Lucas, the man who was always resistant to release his movies on the best format possible... no longer holds the reigns on the Star Wars franchise.

Double dipping?, since the UHD would come with a bluray too. I also read some speculation, guess Disney has a reputation for being slow to embrace new formats?

Sorry, similar price is what I meant. Obviously can't expect them to be priced the same.

Just far too much and for films I really couldn't care less about. 2001 getting the 4K treatment might go some way to convincing me, idk.
