Del Toro is writing, producing and directing the currently untitled film. The otherworldly love story is set against the backdrop of Cold War era America — circa 1963. Del Toro had been weighing several films, but this mystery project was always a top priority, according to sources close to the project. Shooting will start sometime this summer. Spencer is on board to reprise her role in “The Divergent Series: Allegiant” and is also set to play God in “The Shack,” which bows later this year. She also recently filmed Marc Webb’s “Gifted” opposite Chris Evans. She also recently landed a lead role in Fox 2000 “Hidden Figures.” She is repped by WME and attorney Karl Austen. http://variety.com/2016/film/news/oc...ar-1201732924/
