bleh, same song repeats over and over in that movie, worst soundtrack ever. I see the cult appeal of Taxi Driver, but I still think The Departed is better. I was bored watching Robert De Niro play Robert De Niro for 2 hrs.

Funny that the same movies keep getting mentioned over and over.

I pick The Departed, out of the movies I have watched on Blu-ray so far. Sure, the dialogue is stupid, F this F that, and also, it is a lousy that *Spoiler Alert*

no one lives, but I liked the story from beginning to end. Pretty good work.

Yes. Story is a bit adult for children. I don't think anyone under the age of 10 would like it really.

Figuring strictly the story, and not any tech features, and not acting abilities, I would have to say:
The Departed
The Prestige
First Blood
Kingdom of Heaven
Rocky Balboa
Casino Royale
Blade Runner

Casino Royale
Ratatouille
Meet the Robinsons
Spider-Man 2.1

Chicago (maybe not for the story, but for the production with really good songs and dancing)

Probably the only reason why I own and like this movie is for that scene alone. Classic.

Bridge to Terabithia really took me by surprised. Die Hard is probably one of the best action movies I've seen in a while. Gridiron Gang is a good football movie. I bought Into the Blue as a blind buy, and I really enjoyed the story. Memento was pretty interesting since I've never seen a movie like that before and it kept me interested through out. The Patriot was a good movie, I enjoyed that and The Prestige was a good movie, the twist in the end was shocking! I also enjoyed Stranger Than Fiction!

I'm glad you mentioned Black Snake Moan, Blu - I would've forgotten it if I didn't see your post. That title was a huge surprise to me. I would rank Departed ahead of that, w/ Unforgiven at the top.

Story wise: The Fountain.

But other equally great movies: Oldboy, Unforgiven, The Blade Runner & Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban that I currently own.
