It's funny you should mention the music. I don't have an issue with the music being played, but there is so much of it! Is this a Freeform thing? Two episodes in, and it is like watching 90% music video with 10% plot though the second entry was a bit better in this regard.

It's not a bad show. It is your run-of-the-mill Marvel show though. The plot advances too slowly, but thankfully there appears to be 10 episodes vs. 13. At least it isn't CW-levels of irreparably dumb (Black Lightning excluded).

I was wondering that myself. It seemed like music that would appeal to a younger crowd, which is who Freeform is looking to attract, so it would make sense.

Too much with the music. The bad songs at the end of all the CW shows is agonizing enough, but this is overkill so I'm out.

How could you not? It's played during ~90% of the show.

I didn't notice the music either really, they're going for angsty I think, so that's pretty typical with that type of show to do a bunch of music with little dialogue in front of it... just a bunch of quiet reflection.

I think once the show actually gets going, it could be good but I wasn't all too impressed with the first two episodes.

‘Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger’ Scores Freeform’s Best Series Launch In Two Years

Freeform’s young-superhero drama Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger premiered with 1.64 million total viewers in Live+3, the cable net’s best series launch in two years. It also was Freeform’s most-watched drama telecast since the Pretty Little Liars finale nearly a year ago.

It also had the biggest digital bow ever for the network with 716,000 starts. The premiere drew 7.3 million views across linear and digital platforms and was Thursday’s most-social scripted series with 112,000 engagements across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Tumblr.

Are they surprised? It has the built in Freeform audience and also brought in Marvel fans.

If Freeform hasn't backed out of New Warriors, it probably would have premiered well too.

Tonight's episode was confusing. Were they having those flashbacks and visions of each other so that they know one another's weaknesses and faults? Either way, next week looks great based on the preview at the end. I hope we get a detailed explanation of how exactly Tandy and Tyrone's powers work.

I've gotta say, I do hope that this show doesn't turn into a full on romance between Tandy and Tyrone. Both of them have their own little relationships going in their personal lives and I feel that works fine for now, maybe develop them into a relationship next season if they have to.

The 3rd Episode was really a bit confussions the visions and perpective Changes back and forward, but still it worked better then fear the walking dead.
Everything was very good and mysterious and kept me interessted. The cliffhanger in the End was really cool. I am looking forwoard for episode 4

Yeah but I avoid them unless its not going to be aired again anytime soon.

Hulu really needs to start using 5.1, if not for everything than at least for their exclusive stuff.

Third episode seemed to develop a little more back story and connectedness between the two protagonists, with more small glimpses of what their powers actually do.

So far, I have far more interest in Tyrone's story (and a lot more empathy, for that matter) than in Tandy's, especially since she acts like a spoiled brat. I get she has a loser, junkie mom; I get they've both lost everything with death of her father at a young age; I get she's latched on to a loser, grifter boyfriend as a way of coping. She's just not very likable. Yet. Will have to see how the story develops.

So she can see people's love and he can see people's fears?

She can create daggers and he can teleport. Yeah...his powers are cooler.

In the comics, she can also
[Show spoiler]heal people and make them not be addicted... so that'll probably come into play with her mom eventually.

Whoever was filming and holding the camera when Tyrone was seeing Tandy's past should really never hold a camera again... unless it was meant to be super jarring, it made me feel like I was going to get sick if it had been more than a few minutes.

Just watched the first three episodes and I think my opinion is the opposite of most. I really didn't like the first episode, it felt too slow and didn't keep my attention. I thought the second episode was better and I really liked the third episode.
Overall, I'm planning to continue watching.
