BBB is arriving tomorrow and I will be picking up Escaflowne as well. Might double dip and get the UK's release of Escaflowne at MCM London this coming Saturday, along with Outlaw Star, Gundam Reconguista in G, Lucky Star and The Tatami Galaxy. Also, next week Tuesday is 25th October so I expect Macross Delta Vol 4 to ship from Amazon Japan tomorrow and arrive Thurs/Fri of next week.

Have any of you guys ever thought "I've been collecting anime for so long that I don't have any more space to store it and I'll probably never rewatch a lot of what I have so maybe it's time to stop?" I had that revelation a few weeks ago and decided to stop buying for a while and both catch up on my watching and seek other sources to feed my anime addiction.

I think it's fairly obvious that for most people here it's about materialistic ownership in the first place. Especially when people aren't opening their sets in order to keep them new.

Don't underestimate the power of colorful boxes.

So zrdb, I promise I'll stop buying anime as soon as I get as many titles in my collection as yours - last time I heard you bragging about that over on Anime Today a few years ago, you said you had over 6,000 titles even back then - so I'm only about a tenth of the way there to catch up to the all-time biggest anime spender. whoo!

I realized that I got my first anime title back in 1996-it was the Streamline vhs release of Dirty Pair-Affair On Norlandia, which I still have and it plays-believe it or not. So my god-while I don't buy expensive releases (ahem) like some persons (who shall go unnamed), better quantity than quality. When you run out of space something has to give-so that's why I decided to stop buying physical releases for a while. Key word-physical.
