I'm excited for this one.
Since I've ordered from DDDHouse before, I was going to go with them - until (standard) shipping to the US rang up at 4x the cost of the blu-ray - no thanks. Shipping from BuYoYo was only $8.

Debating on buying. It's $36 right now from DDDHouse....Should I bite the bullet?

I just ordered it. $69.95 shipped. It seems Leap!/Ballerina 3D is the other disc I got from them.

I actually watched this on Saturday with pizza & I am ready to tell you what I think, which is unfortunately not much. First let's do the good, which is the 3D. The 3D is an excellent conversion with lots of depth and it is particularly good in all of the action scenes. You will definitely not be disappointed with the 3D. Unfortunately, that's the only thing that's good about this. I can't tell you about the movie because I have no idea what happened. I couldn't even summarize the plot for you. That's pretty common for me with movies these days but I also don't pay attention to most movies I watch. This had full attention other than when my mind was wandering because of how bored I was. Specials are like 8 2-3 minute featurrettes which looked kind of cool except there's no English subs so unless you can speak that language (I don't know what language it is) don't expect to understand anything although I still feel like I was able to follow them as they were very formulaic behind the scenes stuff haha, especially the CGI one. Anyway, good 3D but not recommended as the movie was incomprehensible to me and might be for you as well.

I am used to this type of movie and rarely have any issues understanding what is going on even when multiple reviews might say otherwise. However I wasn't particularly impressed by the Movie Fu clip I saw in pseudo 3D. But in actual 3D it seems to work better. Yet another movie I will get around to watching.

Just ordered this along with another 3-D title that looks good, The White-Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom, $65 shipped for the pair. Super stoked!

I have White-Haired Witch. I watched it once when I got it a few years ago. I don't remember a lot about it, or the quality of the 3D, but I do remember thinking it was quite solid overall and well worth a purchase. As the title would suggest, it's a bit of a riff on The Bride With White Hair.

Against my better judgement I've ordered this along with Iceman. Both I've seen recommended by @the13thman. We'll see.

The HK disc of Iceman has one eye darker than the other so my recommendation for that one is the UK disc.

Here is what the very first visible frame on each release looks like, starting with the bad HK version:

...and the correct UK version:

I'm a huge martial arts movie fan, and I enjoyed this one for the story, set design, costumes and especially the 3D. I'm more of a fan of old-school fight choreography than the effects-driven modern screen fighting. Particularly in this one, where Sammo Hung is the main villain. When you watched Sammo in earlier films (especially in the 70s and 80s) he was incredibly physically skilled and acrobatic. He WAS doing all the amazing fight moves you saw in the film.

At his age now, of course he's not capable of that. But the computer effects and editing now make him look even faster and more skilled than he was in his youth. It just feels a little overly polished and empty now, to me. In the old days in Hong Kong, they didn't have the money and technology, so they needed really skilled actors to make these kinds of movies. That's no longer the case.

Still, a lot to like about this movie, and I really enjoyed seeing some of those rustic old Chinese streets and shops in stunning 3D. It's like you're stepping right back in time and are right there.
