Terry Gilliam is a bit of an idiot too in this case. He's been dealing with this shit for so long that he should've known signed contracts have all kinds of clauses to prevent one from simply throwing it away and declaring it null and void. He shouldn't have signed with a shady company in the first place.

Branca is a leech for waiting until the project was over and done with, before waving the contract in everybody's faces. I think he wants Gilliam to have a second heart attack by even suing the director for lost damages.

Guess we won't get any special features for this, if it's going to be released at all.

Branca is also an idiot, as Gilliam films at this stage appeal to mostly Gilliam fans. Also I bet Branca will have to make a compromise to make any money off it.

That sounds much more reasonable. Since the guy never put up the money he agreed to to finance the film, why would he get the rights to it? He didn't keep up his side of the contract so how can he hold the other side to theirs? That part never made sense to me. Pay him this small fee/fine to terminate the contract or whatever, and be done with him

Friend of mine saw it at a film festival in Australia, said it was uneven with really good moments, which describes quite a lot of Gilliam films, really. He also said Driver and Pryce were really good in it, although he wasn't a fan of the fantasy/reality collisions.

There's a really ropey back cover on Amazon.es. It has the TrueHD logo but, to me, it looks like it says English and Spanish 2.0.

Bought by Screen Media, for a US release in March... in partnership with Fathom Events, which likely means it'll get a one night only screening rather than a general release.
