Fantastic movie i agree with everyone saying that

But its the 3D we are discussing here. The depth was the best. Some of the landscape scenes was like looking into a window to another time and world. There was in many scenes objects extending out the screen in the forefront. There was not many pop outs. I maybe saw 3. A bullet flying toward us. Arrows coming out the screen. And Some big granates in the finale battle looked cool coming out the screen. Its no Guardians, Hercules with the Rock, Turtles. But its no Man of Steel, Apes or Godzilla either. Which had extremely weak 3D.

the 3D score i would give 3.5/5 stars. Fantastic depth and 2-3 pop outs. But there could have used more pop outs for sure

Still this is a movie i will get on 3D Blu-Ray.

The 3D was very good too, nothing mind blowing but a really solid and effective conversion. The present day scene at the start was very flat but as soon as we leapt back in time the 3D improved greatly and it stayed that way for the rest of the movie. The CG heavy action scenes allowed for a lot of impressive 3D shots. This will look great on 3D blu ray and what a fantastic movie too. This has gone right near the top of my list of favourite comic book movies.
Glad you enjoyed it.

I did enjoy the layering with the snow and the ocean scenes.

I felt that this was well worth watching in 3D and will be patiently waiting to purchase this on 3D Blu-ray.
Yes, the bullet flying out of the screen was very nice for pop outs in the movie.

I totally agree on that boat scene looked great, it was the single non-action scene that really stood out for me.
Thanks. I wish the rest of the movie had that level of stronger 3D. It was still a nice, medium 3D conversion.

What are your thoughts on the 3D? Any scenes that you remember most?

I remember the bullet as well, and the 3 arrows that the aunt shot...the 3d was nice, reminded me of suicide squad in 3d IMAX, as far as the 3d goes anyway. They also showed a 3d trailer for the mummy, which looked quite nice, as far as depth goes, so I purchased my ticket for that, in advance for Thursday night : )
so far, the film that stands out to me as far as 3d goes, is ghost in the shell...I saw that one 3d IMAX twice, because it was so incredible...same with beauty and the beast 3d : ) I think I'm just addicted to IMAX lol. I feel as though it really shows off each film quite nicely, especially in 3d

Had to wait til today to see this. Wanted to see it in Imax 3D but it is not listed for today. Next week will be The Mummy and today was the only day this week available.

Great movie! Easily my favorite of the DCU so far. I wonder how they will do the next WW film.

The 3D was the best at the beginning while still on the island. After that it was very much medium. With the explosions, debris and even the snow ,it would have looked so much better if they pushed the 3D stronger and given it some more oomph.

Maybe WW 2 will be like Cap 2 in present time. Maybe feature Superman also and Batman. The Holy trinity

Just found this...http:// https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_Woman_(2017_film)#Sequel

In April 2017, director Patty Jenkins talked about the possibility of a sequel, stating "I'm excited for her to come to America and become the Wonder Woman we are all familiar with from having grown up around her as an American superhero. I'd like to bring her a little farther along into the future and have a fun, exciting storyline that is its own thing. Wonder Woman 1 is so much about her becoming the person she is. I can't wait to spring forward with who she is and have another great standalone superhero film."[151] Jenkins and Gadot are contractually committed to a Wonder Woman sequel.[152]

Disney Wonder Woman 3D

I was able to watch this in IMAX 3D on Friday and XD 3D on Sunday

I would describe the 3D as "safe" and complimentary , It's not so strong the anti 3D pessimists could complain much..... and "Just good enough" to get by for the true 3D fans.

There is also the people in the middle (like most of my family members) that if the movie is great and it has 3D..... then the 3D is great also.

The Movie grade seems to help the 3D grade for some critics also......

cinemablend : To 3D Or Not To 3D: Buy The Right Wonder Woman Ticket
Before the Window Score 5/5
Beyond the Window Score 5/5

On the second watching i closed one eye or peaked under my glasses here and there and was happy to see good separation every time. The scene underwater sticks out along with Fog , Snow , ashes , arrows , bullets , etc...

When there are scenes with more 3D spacial awareness...

its just not the same in flat 2d

3D accounts for 43% of 'Wonder Woman' ticket sales

http://www.filmjournal.com/news/3d-a...n-ticket-sales

Quote:
Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman generated 43% of its worldwide gross from 3D performances of the film this past weekend. $95 million of the total estimated nearly $223 million worldwide came from 3D ticket sales and an estimated $36 million was collected from RealD-equipped locations.

For a movie that did not hype 3D much at all.... it did better than I thought it would.

Doctor Strange was at 47%
Guardians of the Galaxy was at 41%

The little quirk these days with deciding between 2D vs 3D viewing is not many people get a chance to experience UHD/HDR at the theater i.e. you would need to find a Dolby Cinema location. Outside of the US, there are only a very small handful of Dolby Cinema theaters (I could count them all with one hand).

A proper comparison for IMAX 3D would be a Dolby Cinema presentation.

Dolby Cinema looks very nice and is better than the normal 2D theaters without question. But for someone like me who enjoys 3D, IMAX 3D spanks the socks off it in terms of the superior experience.

Saw this in Imax 3d with my wife on Monday and we really liked it! I thought the 3d was really good too. A lot of medium range but it definitely took advantage of depth effects more than I expected (that underwater shot posted earlier is a great example and that looked amazing in 3d!) like tons of slow mo bullets, sparks, debris, etc. It was super fun and I will definitely watch it on 3d Bluray as my preferred presentation

Movie itself does deserve the praise it's been getting. Gal Gadot is a surprisingly good actress and she gave an infectious spirit and energy to Diana that I didn't expect and the more I think about it the more it moves me. The rest of the cast was great, especially Chris Pine who I felt stole a lot of the show and deliverd a lot of the best jokes.

Can't wait to see the movie again!

I went to see this with a group of friends last weekend, and we all absolutely loved it! I think I have seen every superhero movie to date, and Wonder Woman is now my favorite of all of them! I thought the 3D was okay, like others have mentioned the scenes on the island were some of the best. The 3D definitely added to the experience for me, even though it wasn't as strong as I would have liked.

I think this is the first time I remember liking a movie so much that I would go back to see it again, but this weekend we are heading back for another viewing! I cannot WAIT to own this one in 3D at home!

Even with the increased brightness that IMAX-laser offers, there really wasn't any wow moments in the overall 3D presentation, honestly the movie was one big ol' meh --- not impressed and generally disappointing.

I totally disagree, I loved the 3D in this. I thought it was really effective throughout. There were a few minor pop outs too, brief bits. It just really drew me into the period world and added so much to an already fantastic movie.

'brief' would be the operative word ... wish Warner's had made 3D and 2D IMAX DCP's of this, like they had done with 'Fantastic Beasts' - this was one WB superhero movie that for me didn't work visually or aurally (worst 12-channel mix ... ever)

Yeah, that's right with the sound mix. I've seen films in IMAX three weeks in a row after not going for two months before and Wonder Woman, while not bad, is easily the least dynamic mix.

The IMAX mix for Pirates (also 12 Channel albeit a different theater) blows it away, and even in standard IMAX sound, I also was more impressed with The Mummy mix (though I did miss the use of the overheads in moments with helicopters for instance).

The sound was cranked up way too loud in my local Imax as usual, but I thought the mix was quite good and it definitely had some great surround moments that made me whip my head backward lol
