I have both of those, too! Not to mention the lovely Texas Chain Saw Massacre they put out. And Re-Animator. And Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 2.

God, I still have a working RF-Demodulator to play AC-3 soundtracks. Star Wars Episode 1 has better sound that the Blu, in my very humble opinion.

Hang on - let's get it back on track with horror: the old Warner Exorcist disc is a bl**dy odd experience, coming with the 1978 remix for its re-release, containing the most OTT audio design you've ever heard on it, and one almost eradicated today.

Yeah, it is pretty mad... not as mad as the Image Suspiria LD though

The most accurate audio mix of any home format release.

But you knew that anyway...

The things Michael Caine will do to survive. Not sure why this movie isn't mentioned more often in connection with Caine, he is brilliant in it.

Double bill last night with both HIII and H4

I've actually grown to love the third Halloween movie more and more every year. The fourth movie is still my favourite sequel and second best in the franchise after the original.

I love Donald Pleasence in the original Halloween and fans quite rightly identify him as one of the reasons to continue watching the Myers sequels.

I have to say though that Dan O'Herlihy's appearance in Season Of The Witch is worth all four of DP's sequel outings, in my opinion.

The slow hand clap and smile at Atkins as his plans are blowing up in his face is priceless.

He manages to embody a convincing scrupulous eighties entrepreneur capitalist AND a cult leader of ancient Celtic tradition at the same time, almost effortlessly.

It's up there with Sir Christopher Lee in The Wicker Man, for my money.

I agree it would have been a good idea to have a Halloween story every year but Michael Myers was too popular with the public but i always liked H3.

Love this, going to stay up and now watch part 2

The amount of episodes of Apprentice, Westworld, etc I've got building up is unreal...Football tomorrow will get in the way too lol, I'll have square eyes by November!

Still, I'm loving 31 days horror marathon.

A little late to the party this year but we're finally getting into the swing of things with this Cronenberg classic!

6) Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth.

Pinhead is back... with shite Cenobites!

I have to admit I only watched it to have a chuckle at the reframing but I enjoyed it (I'm ashamed to say). Despite Pinhead being an annoying, wisecracking prick.

7) Luther the Geek.

Holy crap! This Vinegar Syndrome disc looks amazing!

4/5 - A solid little ghost story and one of Carpenter's best.
