Damn I think I watched a movie the other day where I found myself rooting for the bad guy but I can't remember what it was

Heat is a unique one, I rooted for both the cops and the bad guys. That's why that scene when Pacino and De Niro met really works, I just feel like they just should make peace and work out a deal.

Hugh Jackman in Chappie. I loved when he cut the guy in half and fling the upper half at the wall.

Depends on if you can empathize with them. Just because someone is the protagonist doesn't mean you automatically root for them. If you don't like them, why would you root for them?

Clockwork is the most polarizing film in movie history for a reason. I'd guess that half of the people that watch it warm up to Alex, whereas the other half feel their blood boil after each rape and either shut the film off or keep it on and watch with utter pleasure as he suffers.

Same with There Will Be Blood - I can easily see half of the viewers in that film being utterly detested with Daniel at the end, particularly with what he does with bowling pin LOL

Really dislike both those characters. Same with Frank Booth in Blue Velvet. Performances and movies are great so it has nothing to do with that. Not sure why I'm attracted to and pull for some "bad" characters while repulsed by others

Nope at that point and what he does later he totally deserves what happens to him.

Probably the rape part would be my guess. Rape is usually one of the worst things anyone can do for a lot of people.

Wanted Deniro to get away in Heat too.
