As for the OP, the only films I can think of that would be considered "seminal" are mostly foreign films such as Bicycle Thief, some Fellini films like 8 1/2, some Kurosawa films like Yojimbo, some Godard films. A few years ago I made a point to catch up on all the classic Hollywood stuff I had never seen like Casablanca, Gone With The Wind, Citizen Kane, etc. so I'm pretty much up to snuff on those. |
