I have this movie at my theatre and the only reason it made more money than RAMBO is because RAMBO is rated-r and SPARTANS is PG-13. Friday night, this POS just about sold out and the average age in the auditorium was 14 years old. They eat that kind of crap up. RAMBO was doomed for being R. If it was PG-13, it would have killed SPARTANS...but then again, why bother making a PG-13 RAMBO.

the last decent spoof movie released was 'not another teen movie' IMO.

I hear that the zuckers are doing a superhero movie spoof that has been getting good buzz meaning it's actually funny unlike the crap that has been put out the last 5 years or so.

well it really depends on what you consider a spoof movie. take Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. it is hard to classify those.

Just saw a 60 sec. clip of that on the weekly movie review show and it looks like it'll give Beerfest a run for the "Assanine Movie of the Decade" prize.

unfortunetly the new teen generation doesnt know what a good movie is so they have no way to tell these are crap, i used to love spoofs but as another poster stated they have gone down hill, before they had to be smart and clever and would leave you laughing out loud, now its show another part of pop culture in a GOOFY WAY and thats that, wont even get a giggle out of me, but im sure they'll get there money out of it.

This movie would be more appropriate as a special episode of a sketch show like Mad TV. Paying to watch this in the theaters is totally worthless. I will not rule out possibilities of getting it on DVD, though. It has some funny moments, but not all that funny. Some parts that were supposed to be funny never got a laugh out of anyone in the theater, while some made everyone giggle in the least.

Necro-threading much?

This thread hasn't been activate for over 2 years. And rightfully so. Meet The Spartans is the only piece of film in entertainment history that is actually worse than The Twilshite Saga!

And yet somehow better than the movie that won the big prize at the Academy Awards last year... yup, I went there.

By the way Logan, I finally got around to watching that trash you mentioned. I am completely dumbfounded by the fact that it won Best Picture last year!
