Only available on your mobile device for title you rent or own. Convert up to 100 discs a year.
Wow, they actually say rent.

Wow is right. Can't imagine the studios condone that.

I really wish it would support TV series, that has always been a shortcoming....

unless they've also updated the list of eligible titles, this doesn't really do anything to help me. The pricing is the same as it was in-store, since it appears they won't be doing the 50% off. All this is doing is taking the store out of the loop for titles that the in-home app can't identify.

I would have preferred they just do away with in-store and work harder on updating titles in the in-home app, rather than replace in-store with a phone app and ignore their broken in-home app with hundreds of unidentifiable discs.

They killed Free2D and started losing money immediately. Had to come up with something.

LOL

I don't think that's it. I think that less people have computers with DVD drives, but everyone has a smartphone these days. So they need a way to add their discs. But I think thay have to expand the list of UV titles to MGM/other small studio's if they really want to grow. I know there's about 100 titles that I can't add to my collection because they are not UV.

I think it's more a matter of they didnt want stores to have to deal with it anymore, especially since half of them cant even grasp how to do it.

Very interesting. I found Spaceballs on the list of Mobile D2D movies. You can find it by going to 702 on the list. I wonder if that is just a mistake or if MGM is starting to participate in D2D.

Yeah. Even if I have to pay for them I don't mind paying that for the rest of the Scooby Doos and Charlie Brown movies that I didn't buy that didn't work in D2D. My 2 year old niece still likes Elmo and I bought her two of them for 9.99 on VUDU. 2 a piece will be much nicer if I get them from the library and scan them since they are SD only. Some of the old Bugs Bunny movies are SD only and I wouldn't mind them either.

I'm excited for this. Probably go to the library a lot the first week and use like 25 of my 100.

Is that a list though? According to the first post that is just a placeholder page.

Going by that list. Most of this looks like stuff that was listed as D2D but wouldn't read for whatever reason.

This really is exciting but shame they don't have the "convert 10 and 50% off" but hopefully they will do occasional promos

EDIT: Here is the list of movies in searchable text document...

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B73...Y4QnhuTkk/view

EDIT 2: Here is a Google Spreadsheet with the list (Created by Zu Nim)...

Child's Play is also on there according to the text document. The original Chucky movie is an MGM title while the sequels were Universal.

Which leads me to wonder how will the app treat box set UPCs. The Universal Chucky blu-rays from my box set never worked on the Vudu to go app.

Nevermind about Child's Play. I just saw there'a 1972 movie with that title.

The full list of everything that appears on most placeholder Pages was like 139000 movies. This one now only lists 8000 or so, so it may be a legit list. No one knows for sure at this point.

100? How about at least a 1000.
