I don't think the steel book cover is bad. It could have been better if they just left TC off of it.

Amazon UK has a 3d Version listed. What are the chances it's Region A compatible

Are both the 4k and 2d versions for Canada only?

Wal-mart lists an exclusive, but not sure what it is. https://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Mummy...usive/55951051

That VR viewer cover would make for a nice 4k exclusive cover (minus the VR Viewer).

Nice to see more 4k exclusives though.

I watched the blu-ray release tonight and didn't care much for the movie at all. From the very first seconds of the credits ("Universal's Dark Universe") though the entire flick which virtually every set piece has been done better in other movies to the fact it rips off ideas from films like "American Werewolf In London," I found it a noisy, far too busy chore to slog through. And is it me, or is it becoming harder and harder to distinguish differences between Russell Crow and John Goodman?

Of the so-called classic monster reboots the past few years, at least Victor Frankenstein with a foaming-at-the-mouth performance by McAvoy was campy entertainment. This is just cynical corporate crap by committee.

The US will be receiving the same exclusives as Canada (for standard Blu-ray and 4K editions). The link above is for the standard Blu-ray with "30 minutes of bonus content" (Walmart exclusive), while the 4K edition will come with the bonus content, as well as the VR viewer (link).

Awesome. Thanks for the info!

Do you think the box will contain the movie with slip? From the looks of it, the pic looks like the slip is included, but it shows the blue banner not the black banner seen on 4k editions.

What would be really clutch is if the box contained the exclusive slip on the BD version, as a 4k slip! The box itself looks like the BD exclusive packaging. Oh boy... Haha.

Is the 30 minutes of bonus content at Wal-Mart on-disc or digital?

Going by previous exclusives, probably digital (in the US).

I'm going with the Walmart exclusive, hoping for the extra content to be on disc.

I really hope it's disc-based too. But my love for bonus material is greater than SteelBook. So I'm leaning towards Walmart at this time.

I'll always choose extra bonus features if they are on disk over special packaging.

I doubt the Walmart extras are gonna be on-disc; previous Universal/Walmart exclusives have always been digital IIRC.
