Looks like although Hell Night still shows up in searches at DeepDiscount and Blowitoutahere, when you try to add it to your cart, it says the product doesn't exist.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Movies Unlimited apparently has a pre-order link up as well. That's four I have counted now.

Wow, I'm genuinely happy for the folks here who've been waiting a long time for this. One of those "holy grail" titles for some. Not my favorite flick even though I love Linda Blair, but I might pick this up just to see the improved quality.

Evasion? Who knows, but I like that they can still surprise us with a hard confirm with the artwork if its actually happening

SF needs to start announcing titles before giving the info to retailers, or this will continue to happen.

I was confusing this for another early-80s horror movie I've always wanted to see called One Dark Night. Had never heard of this one before but now I'm curious. Is this a slasher or more supernatural-oriented?

It's a slasher with some monster-ish elements.

Also, One Dark Night is also coming out on blu-ray later this year... so pick up both!

I've always liked "Hell Night". I saw it in a theater when it was new. I saw it on TV sometime in the mid-80s. I hadn't seen it again until a few years ago, and wondered if it still held up, and it did. Really creepy, genuinely intense at times, and a couple really good scares. Scream claims this is not happening, but I think they're just pissed it leaked. I have a feeling someone will be in big trouble...

I would think that if a retailer started taking pre-orders for something, or even just listed it on their website as "coming soon," before a pre-determined announce date that said retailer could be in some kind of trouble.

I, too, sold off my DVD a couple years ago in anticipation of a Blu release. Didn't think it would take this long. Glad the wait is finally over!

I love this movie! Linda Blair is terrific and this movie has great atmosphere! Day 1!

SF should just swallow their pride and make the official announcement. I hope they plan something nice and not just a Shout Selects throwaway. Something with a poster and lots of extras. I'll probably buy 2 copies

Yeah, its one of those slasher/monster hybrid flicks in the vein of The Funhouse and Humongous, although maybe slightly more slashery than those, due to the setting/atmosphere.
