Yeah, that would be great.

I could see Scream Factory doing collectors editions for The Dead Zone, Prophecy, Pet Sematary, Silver Bullet, King Kong 76, The Keep, Fire in the Sky...

Criterion releases some and Kino just released 1492: Conquest of Paradise.

Yes but the problem with Kino and Olive, who both release Paramount titles on blu-ray, is that they're limited to films that Paramount themselves have never released on disc. So titles such as Brady Bunch, Addams Family Values, Black Sunday, Parallax View, Ordinary People are off the table. 1492 Conquest of Paradise never had a DVD release so that opened it up for a blu-ray release by Kino.

Criterion do not seem to be handcuffed by this restriction but their Paramount releases are few and far between and I cannot see them ever releasing something like A Very Brady Sequel.

Any hope for Scorsese's "Bringing Out the Dead" hitting Blu-ray? The biggest thing holding it up was Paramount owning it.

Just ordered Congo and Lemony Snicket off of Amazon and am pretty caught up now. They probably were a tad cheaper during the B&N 40% sale but I completely forgot about them then.

I don't expect much from Paramount and there isn't that much from their catalogue I'm interested in but I would sure like to see MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS released, hopefully coinciding with this year's remake.

I know there's a European release but I'm not overly impressed by it.

Why Criterion didn't jump on 1492: Conquest Of Paradise is beyond me. If Kino got it they could have got it. All politics aside it is right up their alley, lots of artsy cinematography, great score and beautiful cinematography. Whoever is in charge of Criterion must have some kind of disdain for the film.

What a ridiculous piece of speculation. For all we know, Kino outbid Criterion for it. Just because Criterion don't release a particular title, doesn't mean they have disdain for it. Give your head a shake.
