Kind of surprise how many like Power Rangers.I gave it A chance.While I enjoyed some parts,overall I really did not like it.

Surprises:
Logan- So much hype for this so I was skeptical since I never usually agree with popular consensus but this time we both aligned. This was awesome and it really saddens me we won't get to see hugh jackman as wolverine again he really killed this role.

Beauty and the best- Never cared much for the animated classic so I was thinking it would be the same for the live action version but to my surprise I enjoyed this much more that i thought.

Spiderman homecoming- Never cared for the amazing spider man reboots so i was not excited nor looking fwd to another one but so this one really surprised me how much i enjoyed it. It was also great to see michael keaton back in a superhero film. I really hope my dream comes true that he gets to do another batman flick with burton directing.

Kingsman the golden circle- Never cared for the first one so went into this pretty nervous that I would be wasting my time but I enjoyed it much more than I thought.

Ghost in the shell- Never was hyped for this so only ended up seeing it for Scarjo because of how ****ing hot she looked in the trailers. But I really ended up enjoying it a lot by far one of the most beautifully shot movies I have ever seen.

Transformers 5- I was expecting this one to be a big "meh" like the fourth film was but I really enjoyed this one to my surprise.

King arthur legend of the sword- None of the trailers got me excited so I went into this thinking I could be wasting my time but boy was this fun. Probably by far my biggest surprise of the year.

Mother- Didn't know what to think going into this but it blew me away and even after a week from seeing it still can't quite grasp what the **** I just saw.

A ghost story- I went into this not knowing if it was going to be artsy farty or a straight up horror flick and was very shocked to get so compelled into the very emotional honest story this film had.

Disappointments:

Get out- Heard so much hype for this but it was a big "meh" by far the worst horror film i have seen in years

Guardians of the galaxy 2- Besides baby groot this was a chore to sit through it was just sadly boring

It- so much hype for this but I thought it was just "meh". I don't think it was bad it was just boring at times and the story was so cliche it was hard to get into.

Kong: Skull Island - a very fun action/monster movie that was a delight to watch
Wonder Woman - lived up to/surpassed the hype

Disappointments:

Logan - a boring slog to get through. a very overhyped film
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - a just kinda fun/okay film that pales in comparison to the original. Meandering and pointless feeling.
John Wick 2 - a truly bad sequel to a modern action classic
