Dirty language doesn't bother me half as much as lazy CGI loaded eye-candy substituting for an original plot. Hope audiences tire of that formula sometime

All sorts. And the ones who lived closer to the poverty line typically swore every 5th word. And the ones in or close to the upper middle class I typically would never hear swear.

Heh.

Where I'm from cussing is not exclusive to either or.

I love diversity.

I'd much rather see a film laced with profanities, violence, gore, sex, etc than a PG rated, family-friendly film any day.

I admire the sentiment, but by this logic, you're implying that Sausage Party is better than Gone with the Wind.

I've noticed that in some ways, too. It seems a lot of people cuss more often when they're frustrated...and financial security usually (though not always) reduces stress.

the rating system is outdated imo, ratings should be 'interactive'. every movie should have a G rated cut for the cinema so everyone can see them, and for the home release you get multiple cuts via seamless branching (G aka the original cut - PG - PG13 - R - Unrated)

everyone wins

Are major movies even using that many curse words, these days?

It has nothing to do with diversity. It has to do with more educated people having a larger vocabulary and a better sense not to use foul language.

It's sort of like the difference between Wal-Mart and Target. Where I live, they are within a mile of each other. The poor people go to Wal-Mart and the soccer mom's go to Target. If I go to Wal-Mart, I can hear poor people dropping "F-Bombs" in front of their kids every time I go there.

If I go to Target, the worst I see are parents bringing their infants a little too late in the evening when they should be in bed. I almost never hear foul language. Most people also have all of their teeth and took a shower within the last day. Wal-Mart.... those two aren't always happening.

One of the richest people in the world is on tape swearing and objectifying like it's going out of style, meanwhile I've known church folk who have taken vows of poverty that never say anything worse than "oh gosh".
