Another solid Stephen King adaptation. Don't know why this film is so under the radar but Kathy Bates gives a great performance.

Plummer is a great antagonist too. He just gets under your skin and really makes you hate him and his crusade against Dolores.

Does anyone knows if the digital release is the same transfer as this one?
I ask because not only this release is not for sale in my country, but I need Spanish subtitles, and the film is available in itunes and with spanish subtitles.

I would be mightily surprised if it didn't use the same master as the region free WAC release.

The UK HMV Premium collection titles that are Warner Archive in the U.S. are the exact same discs, right down to the basic menus of the Archive discs.

Just got my copy of this from the Warner 4/$44 sale—I've loved this movie since first seeing it as a kid. It's the best Stephen King film adaptation to date IMO. Stellar performances all around, and a strong sense of atmosphere. It's one of those films that I can put on any time, anywhere, and immediately get lost in it.

Yes. Me too. I saw this in theatres in 1995 with my Mom. I've loved Kathy Bates and Jennifer Jason Leigh for years.

This is hands down, the best Stephen King film to date. Kathy Bates performance is stellar and Christopher Plummer is amazing. John C Reiley is great too

this was also one of King's best novels, imo. it's told entirely in first person as she's being interviewed by detectives, and the prose of it is beautiful

There's a German Mediabook coming out and the aspect ratio seems to be different from the other Blu-rays released prior. Anyone heard anything about it or what the potential pq or aq might be?

Don’t go by those specs. Those are user generated. Whoever put them in entered the wrong AR
