Tomb Raider similarly hasn't shown up for preorder on US retail sites, and that one debuted even earlier.

It's on WBShop.com, so my guess is that this release will be like Geostorm 3D: produced in limited quantities, no slipcover, not sold in stores, and only available online.

If we're lucky, there might be a Best Buy exclusive with a slipcover - But I don't think this movie is doing well enough to warrant many store exclusives.

Meh, Geostorm sitrep was abysmal as far as availability and competitive pricing.

Hi Ryan,

Ships the last day of 2029?

Its five dollars less than Rahul and the shipping is .45 cents more. So placing my order with him so I'll sleep better at night and the heck with the eighteen extra quarters (sounds better than $4.55). Also I think WB store might charge sales tax.

The 2029 date is just a placeholder.

Just got back from seeing Rampage. I actually liked it very much. It moves pretty fast, the 3D is great, the cast was good and the monsters were awesome.

There were a few corny, eye rolling moments, but the good outweighed the bad.

The opening scene was kinda intense!

Update: Only negative, kind of, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I mean he's a great actor, but it's like watching freakin Negan! Same performance minus Lucille!

Indeed it does feel like Negan is in this movie, maybe it was asked by the director ? who knows

I mean, if you go back to Watchmen where he played the Comedian and also used a baseball bat - you will find similarities to Negan. I think Robert Kirkman has stated he had Jeffrey Dean Morgan in mind for Negan all along when writing him.

He plays a bad guy the same sort of way in everything haha. But he does such a good job no one cares about that.

Did he really? That is odd. I mean the comic is B&W and for some reason I always thought Negan was of African descent, the was he was drawn. I guess I was wondering why there was no white washing outcry.

Took three of my grandkids to see this, it was their first theatrical 3D movie. First five minutes all I heard was "cool!wow!lookitthat!" Definition of a popcorn movie. We all had a good time. Will pick this up when it comes home.

Yes, the 3D in this movie was great. Lot of depth and things poking out of the screen. The opening sequence on the space station was well done.
[Show spoiler]Poor Marley Shelton!

Went see it again on Sunday, this time with my nieces, they loved it as well.

Off topic, trailers before the feature. None of these movies look appealing to me. :

Life of the Party - carbon copy of most of Melissa McCarthy movie. Yet AGAIN, she's hurled through the air by something.
Tag - another middle aged group of doofuses, doing incredibly dumb things. Poor Isla Fisher, always playing the hot wife, in the background.
Action Point - Third trailer in a row of people hurled in the air, groin violence, etc...

Then, the good trailers came on:

Upgrade - generic but looks interesting
Venom- need I say more?

I think there were two more, but I honestly can't remember, what they were.

UPDATE: Just remembered the other titles.

Skyscraper - Looks ridiculous. Towering Inferno meets Die Hard.
The Spy Who Dumped Me - Again, Looks ridiculous. Mila Kunis is starting to look scarier in each movie she does! And I'm on Kate McKinnon overload, enough!

Does WB charge right away? Or do they charge when product ships?

Personally, I would wait for the official announcement. Then it will appear on the pre-order sites.

I pre-ordered the 3D blu on Amazon. It's listed at $44, but I'm sure that will come down, as release date approaches.

That's what I'm hoping, but I'm not sure of anything anymore as they try to tear the heart out of the format.
