Plus many flat titles, including the Outer Limits.
For the record we mostly have Bob Furmanek and the 3dfilmarchive to thank for those 3d titles.

P.S. just received shipping notice for Halelujah Trail

As soon as I get it and have a chance to view it. Considering the poor quality of the DVD I own, its got to be better.

Review from another site:

The sound is 2 channel DTS 2 channel stereo sound that is ok ( no bass).

The PQ , well it looks like a DVD transfer from a tape source. :-(.
It does look so much better than the the original non anamorphic DVD...but in this day and age, that's not saying much. Yes the images on the far left and right seem squeezed .

155 minutes including overture, intermission and exit music...Identical running time to the dvd.

Yikes! This is very bad news. I once had the movie on laserdisc and remember the transfer as being not that bad.

Sometimes that edge squeezing in Ultra Panavision films can be caused by the use of a "rectified" print which was adjusted for exhibiting on a highly curved Cinerama screen from a single projector. There's some interesting information about this on line at the "American Widescreen Museum".

Such movies are what Smilebox is best to correct.

I have the disc and I am not one to throw hyperbole around but this is one of the worst MGM catalog transfers I've ever seen. Maybe THE worst.

The image is atrocious upon close examination and looks like a really good upscale -- but an upscale just the same. There are "jaggies" around objects throughout! The comment from the other site about DVD quality? They are not wrong. This truly looks like an anamorphic, standard-definition transfer!

The sound is fine, I guess it's an improvement on the old DVD still -- but anyone expecting high-definition from this release is going to be sadly mistaken. It's really poor.

I saw it on TV years ago and can say it is not a favorite. The only reasons I would buy it would be for the intended presentation: 2.76:1 aspect ratio photography and 6 track stereo sound. The cast is also good.
I'll still wait for some more reviews and caps, but it sounds like this doesn't look even near as good as some recent other large format 35mm reduction BDs.

Does it look like the R1 or R2 DVD on this site?

Looks like the R2 DVD (2.35). However, if anything, the Blu-Ray looks a tad more zoomed in than even that transfer, on all four sides (I have overscan off on my TV so I know its not the TV causing it).

For example -- on the second screengrab, there's a rock on the bottom of the image you can see almost in full on the U.S. (2.20) image. On the R2 DVD image you linked to, you can see the tip of that rock. On the Blu-Ray, you can't see this same rock at all.

And this is this is typical of Olive. Personally, I boycott them and I would recommend that to anyone else! Maybe we can make them go "TU".

From the comments here and over at HTF from those that have the disc, it sounds like Olive should not have released this master on Blu-ray.

And it's not just Olive. Twilight time released a Blu-ray of "Solomon and Sheba" which was filmed in Technirama and released in Technirama Super 70 but their Blu-ray was taken from a anamorphic Panavision 35mm reduction print with a mono optical sound track. When I tried to query them about it, they played the "non-denial/denial" game. The same type of scan was done by Universal for the first "Airport" Blu-ray, originally filmed in Todd-AO!

I've found the best way to try to figure out ahead of time what you're probably going to get is to check out the aspect ratio:

2.35/2.39/2.4 to 1 = anamorphic 35mm reduction print or in between element.
2.2/2.21 to 1 = 70mm print or 65mm in between element.
2.76 to 1 = a glorious anamorphic Ultra Panavision 70mm print or 65mm in between element.

The Blu-ray is a huge improvement over the DVD, but somewhat a disappointment. Its clearly not even close to the caliber that a Ultra-Panavision title should have been. The audio is in stereo (thank goodness the rear cover is wrong as it says Mono). It does sound fairly good, but again
far from the original 6 track sound.
