The Golden Age Sandman, the original one with the gas mask and the suit not the one in tights.
Though a TV series might be more appropriate.

I really would like to see Zatanna or Vixen. I loved them in the comics.

No they don't, their TV stuff is just more "ordinary" but from what I've seen is mostly CW-style crap, they don't hold a candle to the Marvel Netflix shows (apart from Iron Fist, which coincidentally has a lot of similarities with the standard DC TV show), Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD.

Hell, after what they did to Constantine (I mean, they can't even use the correct pronunciation of his name it seems) I surely wouldn't trust them with Weasley Dodds (they already ****ed up his costume in his Smallville cameo).

A good Jonah Hex movie
The Warlord
Legion of Super Heroes
The Spectre
Batman Beyond (with either Michael Keaton or Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne). Kilmer did a good job as Batman, he was stuck in a bad movie, give him a good script and director and he would nail this.

I don't know if I would compare DC tv shows with Marvel's on Netflix.

Supergirl has been the biggest disappointment and I stopped watching it. The same with Arrow. I got flashbacked to death.

The best one, IMO, is Gotham. I do like that one. Flash, I do enjoy, despite too many heart-to-heart talks that nearly puts me in sugar overload.

They changed a lot of things in Smallville so that's just not a comparison I'd make. The Darkseid season was a travesty.

Yes, they tend not to be as bad as Smallville in that regard but the same issues with casting, plots, costume design are still there, and even the adaptations still have some of that trademark glaring idiocy in it (like turning Oliver Queen in a brooding arse like Bruce Wayne).

I find that the basic concept of Gotham is basically Smallville applied to the batverse, which is such a BS concept it boggles my mind.

Sandman on tv would be cool, but it cannot be on the CW.

The CW has run its course.

Punisher and Jessica Jones aren't exactly fun personified in the comics either.

I like to see the Olympians Gods just like they appeared in Justice league and Egyptian gods like Isis.

This is a reductive idea of comics that leaves me baffled to no end.
Alias is a great comic series and one of the best deconstruction of the c-list fodder trope.
Yes, it gets dark and often deals with very mundane plots compared to the classic "punching the superpowered bad guy until he stays down" but that's the frigging point of the comic.
Hell, one of the best story arc was one in which Jessica simply had to search for a disappeared presumed teenager mutant in a country town, there was nothing superheroic about it: just a drama about coutry-town pettyness and prejudices (hell, apart from the preacher being openly racist which the catholic church here would never condone it reminded me of my town a bit).

And I'll still take my Phantom, Mandrake and Flash Gordon any day over anything that DC or Marvel pumps out.
There's Carl Barks and Don Rosa too, but also Hugo Pratt, Goscinny & Uderzo, Tiziano Sclavi, etc.
There's plenty of good stuff, it's only the US in which either you do superheroes/stay inside a Superhero universe or yoy might as well not exist.

I never even like L&C or Smallville, but after every episode I'd hear folks in the workplace talking about it and anticipating what comes next, etc. Adam West Batman rules too.
Arrow is SHIT, they take a FUN character and turn him into Batman surrogate but somehow people are fine with it even if they lament how Batman is dark in movies.
Gotham premise is simply stupid, the point of Gotham City is Batman, full stop, it's even worse than Smallville in that even the supposed main hero character of that part of DC universe doesn't do much.

Totally agree I love Green Arrow from Justice League Unlimited but Arrow ruined him terribly. Don't get me started how they royally ****ed black canary on that show.
