As others have said, I miss Brosnan but not most of his entries. I actually don't think I've ever sat all the way through DAD. Turned it off when I first gave it a try and have actively avoided it ever since. It's a shame he missed out on the role when it was first offered because I think he would have made a great Bond from around '87-95. Not sure how much of it was the material but he already looked a little past it in TND.

Never really warmed to Craig myself though his films are among the best in the series. I'd have really liked to see Dalton performing in the material given to Craig.

I'm getting annoyed that any potential future Bond candidate being touted in the press seems to be a younger Daniel Craig, i.e. relatively short guys with sandy coloured hair. First it was Dan Stevens, and now the British press are getting their pants in a twist over the actor who starred in McMafia. Gimme a break, man.

No, can't say that I miss Brosnan, but I have come to enjoy all of his run. And in a way, I may respect him the most because I think he did more with very little - his films were perhaps the most weakly written overall. Not that all of the Bond's didn't have some of that to deal with.

Full disclosure: I was born in the 60s, so as such, I am legally bound to prefer Connery. But I have to say, Craig is running a very, very close 2nd. And if I ever spend much time thinking about Sean's lazy performance in You Only Live Twice, his disdainful performance in Diamonds Are Forever or his absurd performance in Never Say Never Again, Daniel could get bumped to 1st.

I don't. His best performances as OO7 are GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and Everything or Nothing. Decent cinematic James Bond but piss-poor as the novel Ian Fleming version of James Bond.

Lazenby was a terrible Bond. He physically looked the part but he had no charisma at all. It didn't help that he was dubbed by someone else half of the movie.

The TND Title Song is so soothing and enjoyable to listen to even 21 years later.

I hate Goldeneye. Movie was so full of it and overhyped etc.

I prefer the last three Pierce Brosnon bond movies

Yep, generally I like the Brosnan era. I think TWINE is one of the more underrated films in the whole series. Yes, Denise Richards is absurd casting but I find very little else to fault in it.

Wouldve loved to see Brosnan in Skyfall, his chemistry w M was off the charts. Come to think of it, Brosnan would've been great in all the Craig movies, had he been given these stories during his run.

I think Pierce Bronson was a good Bond. Too bad the movies he was in weren't so great. He had that Rodger Moore charisma.

Not sure who was the worst Bond girl: Jinx or Christmas.

"I thought christmas only comes once a year." Maybe the worst line of any bond movie ever.

Yes Yes God Yes.

I'm not here to debate or discuss. This is just my opinion. Pierce Brosnon is Bond. I grew up knowing him as Bond. Yes, I watched previous Great actors as Bond. But to me He was Bond. What made my feelings more concrete, was how much I do not prefer Daniel Craig as Bond. I'll even say I like Daniel's Bond films better than Pierce's bond films. But I don't like Daniel as Bond. In conclusion. Yes. I miss Pierce Brosnon as Bond.

Goldeneye is a quintessential Bond film, his other three are forgettable.

It crossed the line into vulgarity IMO. Even Moore's most questionable quips never seemed as bad.

I do like Daniel Crack too, but he's a different Bond. The Crack Bond movies are too serious for their own good. They kinda forgot the 'fun' aspect.

I can't say that for certain. The reason why?

I haven't seen a single Brosnan bond film. Not one. Have no desire to sit through one either.

To answer the Op's question: Nope! Not missing anything!!

I don't miss Pierce but I'll always love him. Grew up while he was Bond, playing the video games for Goldeneye thru TWINE, watching those movies on tape and TV over and over again. TWINE was my first Bond movie, too. So I'll always cut Brosnan and his movies a lot of slack, mainly for sentimentality.

Goldeneye > TWINE > TND > DAD
