I doubt it. I bet it's going to be the exact same disc. They didn't even change the special features.

Will the is widely available for $9.99? Target has it for $9.49 if so I can pick it up on my way to work. I know that Black Panther is also coming out that day so I'm pretty sure that will have a few copies in the am.

Yeah, according to everything im seeing in the UHD thread. I simply can't understand why they would release the same disc again with no new features on the same day as the UHD but not have the new master. So bizarre.

They promised us the standard Blu would have the 4K remaster.

Everyone, start contacting Fox. It's disc replacement time.

Says it right here:

http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releas...ry-4k-uhd.html

"According to specs, this will include a 4K remaster that will also appear on standard Blu-ray (that release date isn't specified)."

That’s not confirmation from Fox, that’s one website’s speculation.

That's speculation. I see nothing in the original press releases

That website also says -

"The complete Die Hard Five Film Box Set will also be available as a limited edition Blu-ray Steelbook from Walmart and Best Buy on May 15. The box set will include all five Die Hard films in 4K."

which is obviously complete bulls***. Methinks that website doesn't have the faintest idea what they're talking about.

What these guys said ^. People need to stop taking ill-informed nonsense as gospel (alas, that's the internet in a nutshell), you haven't been "promised" anything by Fox bruv

The remaster doesn't look much better than the old Blu anyways, so no big deal.
