Thanks for the info guys. I just want to know in case the UHD turns out to be another "so and so blu ray from wherever is still better" debatable situation.
Hopefully the UHD's are just everything they can be, and it'll be a moot point. |

And the "brightness" on III actually makes it look like a correctly exposed and photographed movie, instead of a dim mess of black crush. But I don't know which is correct. We'll see how these new scans look, if indeed they are new. |

The first film is a bonafide classic thats watchable over and over. But, the rest.... dont work for me. Id buy the 1st film immediately but no way Im spending the money on the complete package with 3 "never going to watch ever" movies included. Ugh.
![]() 4K is pissing me off lately. Cant get all 3 Matrix films in UHD, only the first one. But you can get all the freeging Rambo films in UHD. Freeging wonderful. They're gonna do this with Alien & Aliens too - force people to buy the utter garbage that is Alien 3 & Resurrection to get the first two. I wont do it. |

I love Alien, Aliens and Alien³ and I've bought the POS that is Resurrection plenty of times in boxsets over the years in order to get my hands on those first three. Suck it up!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't single film releases been the norm so far for UHD discs? Even franchises like Harry Potter have had single UHD film releases even though there's a boxset available as well. Granted that's a whopping 8 movies, with a lot of tonal shifts across the different films, but still. Kind of anti-consumer to force people's hands if they want just one or two of the movies that are in a bundle though, but it's the studios' prerogative to sell their products however they want. It's also the consumers' prerogative to buy or not to buy any given product for whatever reason.
Does Lionsgate have a track record of not releasing single movies and forcing people to buy boxsets instead? I don't keep track of this stuff so I have no idea. |

There's a lot of series that had options, but a handful that haven't. |

Great if all are derived from 4K remasters. As others I would've imported the AU set but held off on it. Wonder if Lionsgate will re-issue the BDs to be BD50s and etcetera or if they'll use the initial BDs. |
