I still can't join the fun here; I only get a blank page when I click on "Cast & Crew." Apparently, after your collection reaches a certain size, this feature fails to work.

I was really curious to see what I would find, but, alas, I am not allowed to play with the cool kids.

Yeah, my Hitchcock DVD boxes are hindering my list. But I keep waiting for someone to really do a bang-up job upgrading them. Or maybe i am just lazy. I don't know. But I would have a gazillion Hitch titles if I ever got around to upgrading.

That totally sucks.

There has to be a "Help" function, right?

If there is, I don't see it. "Cast & Crew" does not work on my blu-ray collection nor on my dvd collection and I see no such link on my Complete Collection.

I guess I could ask one of the moderators at random in a pm. I even cleared my cookies just to see if that would help and it did not.

*sigh*

Yeah, I guess asking a mod would be the best move. It's too bad since I would love to see what someone with your collection looks like.

I mean, heck, I was excited about getting to 400. Heh. That was a big deal do me. You're in the thousands. That's like a whole different planet.

You're not the first person to suggest that I am an alien from another planet.

Another forum member with a collection similar in size to mine said they have the same problem, so I know I am not the only outcast here.

I sent a pm to one of the moderators and await their reply.

I got really lucky with Hitchcock; a few years ago, I sold a bunch of them off when they were out-of-print and some of them were hard to track down, because I was out of work, and I sold a bunch of DVDs off figuring I would upgrade them once I had a job. Then more recently, back when Go Hastings was still open, I got the full box from them at one of their ridiculous discounts. So I think that I actually made a profit on that one.

Damn. That sounds amazing. See, I end up never selling anything. Every single thing I double dip, for instance? I still have all of them. It's kind of pathetic when you look at it, really.

Of course, it's how I knew that Criterion would come out with Ghost World --I had just bought the German version. Then again, they didn't come out with Sliding Doors so maybe that theory isn't so sound.

Of course. The man redefined: horror with Duel and Jaws, sci-fi with Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and action/adventure with Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Stan Lee was #1 at 28 movies in my collection but I feel that's not fair since 90% of his "movies" are only cameos lol.

I have a similar sized collection and I haven't had the ability to use the cast & crew feature in about 200 titles.

I got a reply to my pm saying that my question has been forwarded to a developer, so I am still waiting for an answer as to why the Cast & Crew function is not working for some of us.

I need to double-check my collection at some point as I would have expected Jackie Chan to easily be one of the most prolific actors in my list. I know I have most of his 70's & 80's films on DVD or digital. It's also immediately clear how much the James Bond films dominate my list. I added a few extra actors and an extra writer to help balance things out.

*Edit - For anyone having trouble getting to the Cast&Crew option, click on the "Collection" tab a second time after it loads to make all the options appear. When you first go to "My Collection" you will only see "Printer friendly", after you click "Collection" it will then show all the sorting options.

Click the "Collection" tab circled after you go to "My Collection".

[QUOTE=AaronJ;14905814]I just hit 400 Blu-rays, so I was perusing my collection using the Cast & Crew function. So, I'm now very aware of who is at the top of my list for Directors, for Actors, for Writers, etc.
