Will still probably make over a billion too, which is greater than most MCU flicks.

I said the same thing when people were predicting that TLJ was gonna smash TFA's takings (this is pre-tittygate I'm talkin' about) and I'll reiterate it here: all dat nostalgia and all dem feels came rushing out for both JW and TFA, those movies were such inoffensive thrill rides that they roped in a wide demographic of cinema goers who were eager to revisit their favourite franchises in a non-shit way. That novelty has since worn off and so neither sequel would be grossing anything like as much money (even if they were universally acclaimed by critics and fans alike) but still, a billion-plus-dollar-grossing "disappointment" is a problem that certain other studios would give their left nut for.

Both Steelbooks are the same, they're just gonna package one of them backwards. Basically the same thing they did for BvS.

Watched in cinema today and this should look good on UHD. Couldn't judge black levels though as they were non-existent in my cinema LUL

Just pre-order the 4K on Amazon. My confirmation said it would be delivered on release day August 22, but I find that unlikely because that is a Wednesday.

most of the 3D movies lately I've seen at the Uptown, looks like the projector had mud smeared on the lense, and 'Fallen Kingdom' was no exception.

I'm kind of surprised that Best Buy and Universal aren't doing what they did with 'Pacific Rim: Uprising' and release a 4K/3D combo pack

Default King Of The Worlds

Screened this in Dolby Cinema and it looked, sounded, and with the seat transducers, felt spectacular. It's a Bayona Boo-Yah, all in on the UHD.

I guess you’re not much for the Disney/Universal immersive thrill rides as well?

For certain films to date at DC the transducers have been a neutral effect at worst, but for the last two, Incredibles 2 and JW:FK, they really did add to the experience. It may be they are dialing in the tech, much like HDR and Atmos.

In my book, a perfect complement to a summer blockbuster at a DC.

No worries, there’s always plenty of options.

i ****ing loved it! Best Jurrasic film of them all imo. But i do like it dark, films like this, dawn of the planet of the apes, the dark knight, logan and the likes are right up my alley. So if you like those you might like this one too, it also has some bits that reminds me of some horror film scenes. I do hate disney-marvel films, i fall asleep everytime i try to see one, so if you love disneyMarvel you probobly wont like this one, its very realistic compared to those

I was a bit let down with the movie. First half was great, but the last half was hit or miss. Maybe my next viewing will change my mind. I do like the setup for the next movie, so can't wait for that. Still going to buy it though cause my fiancé loved it.

Watched in a Dolby Cinema today and was happy with the sound and audio. Black levels were nice, particularly in those final night scenes at the mansion, both interior and exterior. Regularly found myself thinking "that will look great on UHD."

And excuse me while I go way off topic here but I was getting some major Resident Evil vibes towards the end of the film with that dark mansion out in the woods. I pretty much spent the last 30 minutes fantasizing about this director doing a proper Resident Evil reboot out in the Arklay Mountains on the outskirts of Raccoon City.

This movie is sort of strange for me. It had a lot of cool things going for it that ultimately made it fun to watch, but the script was bad, and the secondary characters and even some plot reveals were bad, too. But the director somehow managed to put it all in a semi-cohesive bubble that worked on the big screen.

I’ll get this because I’m a Jurassic Park junkie but it was rather disappointing in a number of ways.

Black Friday will suffice for this. Dumb as a bag of prehistoric rocks but it's Jurassic so I'll have to get it at some point.

I love those, but I like my movies as 'movies' not as 'thrill rides' - my ass shouldn't get a work out while watching a movie (so sue me)

of the only two DC presentations that I thought were tremendous that didn't implement the transducers were Titanic and Murder on the Orient Express, nor was it used for Atomic Blonde or Kubo and the Two Strings
