I own the original 3D version. I'm not about to double-dip on a box set just to get Revenge in 3D. Hopefully, they'll release it separately someday.

Best Buy should have this box set for $29.99 when they list it. That's about the same price as many of the classic 3D titles (single film). I'd buy Revenge of the Creature 3D for $29.99, so I don't have a problem buying this box set for that price, and getting the 3rd film thrown in with it, even though I already own the first disc. It's still a great price for the set, even if you want just Revenge.

My issue is the frustration of the first film not being corrected for the 3D problems it has. But this is still a great set and well worth the money. For the price of one 3D film you get 2, plus the third film thrown in. And both the 2nd and 3rd films should look stunning. The first one looks fantastic in 3D, it's just got a handful of issues that take away from the presentation.

I hope this isn't a situation where the discs will be stacked. I don't want to have to deal with scuffed/scratched discs in this set.

I've never seen this but want to get into the Universal monster films. I know the first one is considered a classic, is it worth it to get the set or just the first film?

I don't think the sequels are anywhere close to as good as the original, but I think that by release date, the set is going to be cheap enough that it would be silly not to just get the collection. The original is still 15 bucks, and I bet the set is going to get down in the 20 dollar range. And the sequels are not bad! I like the third more than the second, but I think I'm in a minority. It has interesting ideas and I like that it wasn't just a cheap retread like a lot of Universal sequels.

they show here under releases that revenge is being released on the same day as an individual title
