So, Zemeckis still continues to say there will never be Back to the Future 4? Did he also say there will never be a reboot too?

The series is best left alone; its still a very much-loved franchise and there's no reason to stretch it out. Michael J. Fox is almost 60 now, so the idea of him playing Marty again is almost ludicrous, Parkinson's or not.

I could see Martys kid being the protagonist, and Marty is just in a supporting role, with some CGI young Marty for the inevitable encounters back in time ^^

Closest you'll ever get to a Back to the Future 4 is that one Tell Tale game.

Universal is more likely to do a Jaws 5 that ignores 3 and 4.

You know, they could totally reboot Jaws and I'd be more okay with that than more exploitation of BTTF.

**** off with this tom holland reboot nonsense. Back To The Future is one of the few perfect Trilogies. It had a Start a Middle and a perfect end.

Now I am not for a second saying this is a good idea but now Michael J Fox is an older guy and digital de-aging tech is coming on leaps and bounds the potential is there for another movie Gemini Man style for both Doc and Marty.

Its one of those things where everybody rightly thinks its a bad idea but also everybody would have their butts in seats day one!

Apart from, yes bad idea, Michael J Fox has Parkinson’s. I don’t think de-ageing can change that.

Well I think Parkinson's would be pretty low on the list of reasons not to do it. Plus the amount of shakycam used in today's movies you probably wouldn't notice anyway.

I'm not sure if wonderer is being serious here when he suggests bringing back Michael J Fox and de-aging him (his last sentence suggests he's not), but if anyone out there is stupid enough to think this could be a viable option for a future Back to the Future reboot, then they should watch this video.

Good on Robert Zemeckis for protecting his property, at least someone in Hollywood has some integrity. If the right pitch with the right filmmaker behind it comes along, then why not consider it, but don't just ***** your property out there for Hollywood to give the usual treatment and produce some heavily diluted rehash that can't hold a candle to the original series.

My father is now in his mid 80's and in absolutely sterling mental health, couldn't ask for better. On the other side, a regular member of my musical jamming group who has just turned 60 has been diagnosed with Parkinson's, and is looking at the life-changing effects that is going to have on him. Tragic that Fox got the ailment so young.

“Shakycam” was something anybody talked about last time a decade ago but good for you to make light of that horrible disease.

These photos were taken at the real life location of Twin (Lone) Pine Mall from the movies:

Could be just a commercial though.
