Bought this at the flea market for $3 dollars, which is exactly as much as I was willing to pay and no more. It also came with an un-redeemed code so that’s a plus. No slipcover though.

It’s as terrible as I expected it to be. The film feels unfinished, there’s so many moments where you can tell that footage was just hastily removed to either keep it PG-13 or not cause more controversy. I’d argue this is worse than The Snowman, which was also an incomplete film, at least that film had a competent cast to carry it.

I’ll only give this another shot if Sony gives us that extended cut. Maybe it won’t be better as a film but at least it would be coherent and comprehensible.

I watched this last night at my kid's request and hated it too. He saw the trailer, which makes it look pretty good, but the movie itself blows. And I say that as someone who has a high tolerance for horror movies in the 3.X range on IMDb.

The movie seemed really long at 90 minutes, and threw a lot of surreal imagery and fast editing at the viewer toward the end in an attempt to create creepiness that the film otherwise couldn't deliver.

I thought that Always Watching was overall a better Slender Man-type movie.

The funniest thing was Slender Man going live and walking through the house.

Loved this movie, really dug the atmosphere and cinematography. Those forest scenes look incredible.

I think I only watched this once and that was in the theater when it came out. Reading through some of these posts, I don't have strong memories of it (though it sounds like that could be a good thing!), so I may have to dust off my Blu-ray and give it a watch. 'Tis the season for horror, after all.

I’m of the opposite opinion. I liked this one better than Always Watching. Not saying this is a great movie but it kept my interest.

Are you just going to ignore all of the flaws that break the movie?

Some people can look past flaws & just sit back to enjoy a movie. Again, its not great but I liked it as well.

I noticed no such flaws and if I did I'm sure I would have still enjoyed the movie. I find I enjoy most horror movies that deliver solid atmosphere and mood along with suitably effective/ creepy visuals. IMO Slender Man did that. I loved the look of all the night time scenes and I thought the movie had plenty of great atmosphere. The leading actresses were all really good too. I wish this movie had gotten a 4K release, I really loved the cinematography.

I recommend the 4K Dolby Digital Plus version unless the Blu-Ray has amazing extras.

it was like $6 or $7 bucks so i'm not that picky on it if the film is shit. i'd rather update it later on if i end up liking it than buy it on 4K at least this time around and i do buy 4K movies

this film turned out to be a terrible piece of shit, there were a couple times i Literally forgot who was who, when the 1st girl vanished i could not remember who it was, than later when the lead vanished i had to look up on IMDB both times to remember who it was that's how forgettable these characters are.

this film is that bad
