I get your point, regardless of age stuff should be spoiler free. But the guy apologized and edited his post, you could at least recognize that

Agree with this. I hate spoilers for stuff regardless of age too, because we haven't all had the chance to get around to everything. However, if somebody apologises for the oversight, that's fine. It's much better than the whole, "Well you've had years to watch it!" response that you come across on geek forums literally all the time.

Thanks for the support.
It was a genuine mistake and I didn't intentionally mean to spoil the film for anyone. Like I say , with it being quite an old film now I thought those interested would have seen it but I appreciate now that not everyone has.

In this particular case, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, right?

[Show spoiler]It's not a twist, it's how every generic 80's horror film ends for the antagonist. And it's not like animals with rabies (which is right there in the synopsis for this movie) sometimes get cured.

Sure it should have been spoiler tagged, but it's not like the shower scene in Psycho was spoiled here. This knowledge doesn't exactly ruin the experience for a first time viewer.

Yeah, the film is 36 years old. I don't like it when people spoil movies, but I think at some point there has to be some give and take.

You've got to expect there to be discussion about the film, including plot developments, and I think you're naive if you come into a discussion about a 36-year-old film and expect not to read something that you didn't know about.

I just like to add the dogs they used to play Cujo are all dead.

The bat might still be alive though.

Why would anyone who wants to avoid spoilers read an entire thread about the movie?

Because this thread is about the Blu-ray release of Cujo, there is different subsection of the forum dedicated to discussing movies.

Also, the Spoiler tags are there for a reason. If you want to discuss the movie, please do so without spoiling, which was pointed out by other users.

People shouldn't be discouraged of entering threads about releases of which they've never seen the movie.

People should however be discouraged of discussing (older) movies without spoiler tags, either from an ignorance stemming from believing everyone has seen the movie, or not realising they are spoiling it in the first place.

Don't reward ignorance!

It's human nature that discussion of the forthcoming blu-ray of Cujo is going to stretch to talking about the film itself and not just the disc release. Otherwise the Movies section would be clogged up with duplicates of everything in the USA/UK/Germany (etc) forums.

A little consideration and common sense when using spoilers goes a long way.

P. S. I've got more stuff going up (and already up!) on eBay.

So, let's try this one last time. No one else than 'Cinema84' and I cares about what source Eureka is using for this release? Really?

Since Eureka only mentioned "HD transfer" instead of "new 2/4k transfer from an IP/Camera Negative" and the fact this is definitely licensed from Universal/Paramount, I have to say the source will most definitely be the master used on these two BD releases:

If you're concerned about spoilers for a movie from 1983, you are too touchy to be on a forum about movies in the first place. Anyways, if one hasn't seen the movie, what could they possibly have to discuss about a Blu-ray release of it? I'd never wade into a thread about a movie older than about a year without assuming I would spoiled within. Avoiding spoilers is relatively easy provided one doesn't feel as if one needs to butt into places where one ought not go.

Why is he? There's no logic to that statement whatsoever.

Don’t be a dick. Just hide spoilers.
