Ok, then 'The Irishman' and 'Once Upon a Time In Hollywood'.

I like the black and white shots; it has a very good chance @ the 92nd Oscars.

Gold Derby: Will Jordan Peele be seeing double with a 2nd Oscar-winning horror movie?

Frankly, I find it doubtful. Get Out was a revelation, and more politically incisive than Us (according to what I've read). Barring a nearly unprecedented level of disappointment from upcoming awards hopefuls, I don't really see Us being nominated, let alone winning.

Yeah, I doubt it. It will definitely have its fans, but I don’t see having the kind of impact Get Out and Black Panther did in order to both transcend genre bias and stick around with voters almost a year later.

Probably best case is it is something like A Quiet Place which pops up with some year end groups to keep it in the awards discussion and it maybe ends up scoring a nomination somewhere (I could see the score being possible). I think in the major categories, Julianne Moore for Best Actress is likely the best shot among films already released, and she still would need critics group support big time.

A Quiet Place didn’t even deserve 1 nom. The single most overrated movie last year, which is only well-liked, I assume, because the two leads are considered the king and queen of Hollywood by People magazine or whatever.

Us was a great follow up to Get Out and I hope it gets some love next season. Screenwriting, at least.

Kaluuya got nominated for Get Out, wouldn't be a stretch to see Nyong'o in the hunt.

To be expected, it turned out better with no host.

I hope we can dispense with the drama and just celebrate the nomination and awarding of world class movies in 2020, whatever they end up being. I'm looking at you, internet.

TBF, the Oscars went smoothly without a host. No filler, dragged out monologues or jokes.

The Internet ... dispense with drama?

There's more chance of me going on a date with Scarlett Johansson.
