Default Double Dip?

I have this on Spanish Blu Ray, does anyone know if this is a different transfer and worth a purchase?

The "News Featurette" is included, but not "Releasing the Duck". And there's just 1 teaser and not "Teasers" as listed on the packaging and menu. There's a second one available on other releases.
I have had the German disc for a few years, and it does have the "Releasing the Duck" featurette. It's pretty damn informative, and running over 10 minutes, as well as very honest about what happened with the movie. Can't think my it wasn't included on the UK edition.

Yeah, there's that and another featurette (the Look Back at Howard the Duck) that Laurent Bouzereau had produced for the Universal DVD, running 26 minutes, that 101 should have included.

Comparing it to the German Blu-Ray, I still think the Koch disc has the best transfer of them all, it's a hair darker than the 101 and has a bit more detail. In 101's favor, the PCM soundtrack is terrific, and very robust when played back in surround as it's meant to be heard.

Well I’m out, I’ll take Bouzereau’s docs and a slimline case over Scanavo, slipcover, booklet, (potentially) mediocre commentaries and a critic appreciation.

Yeah, I’m the same, it seems they’ve dropped the 2 best extras. I don’t really care about the new extras, though the booklet would’ve been nice. Very happy with my US disc, which will potentially turn out to be better encoded too.

Revisited this film today for the first time in years. Loved it much more than I remembered... lovelly package and excellent transfer. Disapointed that there was only one teaser though, especially as it promised more.

Indeed, the 101 Films press release and website promised more extras than there are on the disc. See my post above.

Replaced my original 101 copy as it literally refused to play in the player.

Replacement disc also refuses to play. On the off-chance that it’s the player, OPPO 203, I’ve tried our backup LG player, and the XB1. Neither will play it.

Cutting my losses and sticking with the German disc. And steering well clear of 101 releases in the future.

Weird. I've had one disc from my collection refuse to play and it was an EIV title Stand up Guys that cost £1 from Poundland can't find a replacement for it. So far my 101 BL have been fine.

I have no idea what the issue is. This is the first disc that the Oppo’s ever refused to play. It just defaults to the player menu, which it usually only does when there’s no disc in the player. Press play, it thinks about it and then defaults back to the same screen again.

Thought it might be the player, but the others won’t have it either.

101 discs, in my experience, are often questionable in terms of encode etc, but this is the first one that’s ever refused to play at all. Twice!

I have a 203 and had the same issue - until I changed the mod to Region B.

Mine was already on B - for some reason I had to change the HDR setting from AUTO to OFF. Played fine then. Bizarrely, when I set it back to AUTO and tried again it played fine....

My Oppo won't play it either. "No disc".
Luckily my PS4 played it, but I'll never buy anything from 101 Films again.

Mine eventually played - I had to completely turn off HDR in the player settings. Usually its set to 'auto' - I had to turn it off and use either the BT.709 or BT.2020 setting.

Did that and it played. After playing it I put the HDR back to auto and tried it again. Still worked.

Still won't play on the LG however and that isn't a 4k player, it has no HDR settings to toggle.

I need request to 101 for replacement disc when arrive it? (God! I hate ask for replacements discs to labels).
I'll see if play on my player.
101 say something about this issue?

I would listen to the audio file. It's only about six and a half minutes, but apparently, there will be a ton of music in this forthcoming 3xCD set. I'm sure it was pretty complicated for Intrada to pull this one off, but as a big John Barry fan, I'll be purchasing a copy when it is available.

Is the standard release version of this improved in any way, or is the disc still iffy with regards to player compatibility?
