In case you don't already know, Sunrise usually has the Universal releases for $17.99 or $18.99 from the get-go.

Saw one copy total visiting three stores. Saw it at the first but didn't buy. I wanted a copy with a slip in better shape. Going to look elsewhere tomorrow. This is a major guilty pleasure for me.

Doing a little skipping around in this right now and it looks very, very nice. The movie starts off with a pretty extended chunk of nighttime scenes which, outside of some nifty HDR highlights on torches, don’t look all that impressive. However, as soon as daylight kicks in, this transfer takes off. Bright and vivid, with fine, well-resolved grain and razor sharp fine detail, particularly in dirt, gravel, and rock textures. The red cloth of the bad guy uniforms really pops too.

Quality takes a significant dip whenever there are effects shots, but that’s to be expected. Looking forward to sitting down for a full viewing. Universal really is killing it lately.

Quality is par with the other Mummy 4Ks. Which means buy if it interests you. Don't need to wait for further reviews.

It would've been cheaper if you just bought the movie online have it delivered to your door (with a brand new slipcover), instead of wasting gas driving all over town trying to find a copy.

Half of the time I buy online, I do not get a slip. So I prefer to buy in-person, unless the title never came with one or if it is something stores do not stock.

Yeah, GT is hit or miss, I went to 5 locations and 2 of them had no 4Ks, the other three had 2 to 4 of them total.
Sunrise is usually pretty expensive except Universal titles for some reason.

Good to know. I’ll definitely check out Sunrise.

I've ordered 4K movies from Amazon and Best Buy, and sometimes: Bullmoose, and they all had slipcovers, during their first release . But If you've wait, and order the movies a few weeks or months later, then you'll probably won't get a slipcover. It depends on the timing. Walmart have slipcovers on their new 4K releases too.

Called it, BD-66. It's another new fresh 4K scan by UPHE.

Hulk (2003) however will be BD-100.

Wait wasn’t this already released in the trilogy? Or am I just confusing the one I don’t watch with actually two I don’t watch?

The Scorpion King is a spin-off film, it's sort of a prequel to the second movie, but not really...

Aye, 100GB felt like mega overkill for a 91-minute movie! As it is, the average bitrate is damned near 70 Mb/s. That's a spicy meata-ball!

Ah, at least the cover matches the individual trilogy releases really well.
