That was the oddest part to me how the original review had a a 2 out of 5 audio score while the Shout got a 3.5. Did Shout somehow obtain a superior audio source or clean up the one they given?
The Caps-A-Holic comparisons look virtually identical to me, too. Can anyone confirm or deny that the Shout version has better audio?

It's definitely a fresh scan, but it seems no restoration has been done, as the specks and scratches are quite plenty.
According to the Blu-ray.com database the 1945 version of Brewster's Millions was never released on the Blu-ray format anywhere in the world. At least not yet. But it's good to know that Shout Factory placed the 1945 version of the movie as a bonus feature in HD quality with 2.0 lossless audio on the 1985 version of the movie. So really cool one gets two movies on one Blu-ray disc. I have never seen the 1945 version.

Brewster’s Millions is one of may favorite movies that I saw in a movie theater with some family members back in 1985. I sure wish someday that this classic Richard Pryor movie gets a native 4K scan with a 4K Blu-ray disc release (perforable all the extras on a BD-100 disc and hopefully a new lossless 13.1 Dolby Atmos mix or a new 5.1 DTS-HD Master audio mix instead of the existing 2.0 lossless mix). For fans of this movie the best version currently is a 2K Blu-ray disc release from Shout Factory. A budget of $15 million and box office sells of $45.8 million is good for a 1985 movie.
