Mate, i usually do order from Amazon, but im a bit ocd about my covers, lately i have had stuff delivered without slipcases, or the slipcase is marked/scratched/bent etc, in a shop i can go in and pick a perfect case, i know, i wish i was not ocd over stuff like this, but i cant help it

daytrader not a problem, things like ocd are not a choice. My experience with drop off has all ways been good. If you message an ebay seller that delivers to your local Argos you should be in safe hands. I often hear good words about entertainment store. Mine came from Amazon on Sunday, physically as good as having gone to a B&M store. Interprating your concerns, I doubt that any one here buying new would be impressed if the item turned up looking like it had been chewed by next door's dog.

Final artwork is up on Amazon. But why only 4 discs in the US release and 6 discs in the UK release?

Yes, confirmed twice on page 2 of this thread!

Given the 4K is at a speed of 24fps it's almost certainly another disc that will be identical in North America.

Agree. Crystal clear most of the time even 2 ft from the screen. Amazing job by the camera crew. Truly remarkable

I've been watching the Blu-rays from the UK set with my dad the past couple of days. I can only echo what others have said that this is an amazing looking series and BBC have outdone themselves. I'm three episodes in and almost every shot is breathtaking. I can't imagine how good the UHD BDs look.

[Show spoiler]
This is because UK releases are handled by BBC, while US releases are handled by BBC Warner, which is technically a different company, and does their own Blu-rays. Having said that, I believe some or all of the UHD discs have been shared (except for Dynasties, where the UK UHD discs lacked Atmos), so I don't know how they plan to handle this US UHD release. The UK release has three UHD discs (1xBD-100, 2xBD-66), so either BBC Warner has opted to use two UHD discs (and possibly 2xBD-100), or they might be offering a three-disc UHD set with a Blu-ray of bonus features, or the artwork could simply be wrong.

I watched the entire thing plus extras in one day. My favorite episodes were Europe and North America just because those areas get covered much less frequently in wildlife programs. All episodes are very interesting and there is a particular focus throughout the series on the damage being done to these ecosystems by humans.

The picture quality is stunning, on par if not exceeding recent BBC releases like Planet Earth, Blue Planet, and Dynasties. I definitely would highly recommend this to both videophiles and nature enthusiasts.

Yeah I thought they were pretty good. It's 53 minutes because it's one set/story/location from each episode run together.

Probably a similar situation to the Blue Planet II sets, where the UK set included the series on UHD and Blu-ray both, while the US release had the series on UHD but only the making of episodes on Blu-ray. So probably something like:

US
1. UHD (series)
2. UHD (series)
3. UHD (series)
4. Blu-ray (special features only)

UK
1. UHD (series)
2. UHD (series)
3. UHD (series)
4. Blu-ray (series plus some special features)
5. Blu-ray (series plus some special features)
6. Blu-ray (series plus some special features)
